Hey guys, I’m buying a black male unicorn, originally was going to be for $100 but he has a lot of rubs to his paint. Looks like he is covered with little white flecks. I’m not sure if he has any actual chips but it seems like he might have a few. I guess what I am wondering is…

how much is a black male uni in GOOD condition worth?
How much do you think one in this condition is worth?

      Thanks for your help!! 🙂

Check out the windstone database linked in my signature. There’s listings of average prices for mint and non-mint male unicorn (black).

I paid like at least $200 for mine last year *head desk* His horn isn’t quite right (its lower than my white male uni) and he is missing part of his ear (but its not noticeable-until you notice it!) Personally I’d say $100 is a good price

i think i paid 170 for mine a year and a half ago, and he came with a chipped mane from shipping but luckily i was able to repair him and make him look new again. Although i will say i paid a lot more for my never displayed mother unicorn in black. I guess it just depends on who is looking for what to add to their collection at the time. I would also say seeing what they’ve been going for 100 is a decent price

It depends how picky you are. I don’t like rubs, chips, flecks, or anything else; I want any piece I buy to be mint. I never forget any damage that is there, so I have learned not to buy items in that condition. There are exceptions if something is really hard to find, but I still want it to be in close to mint condition; so I would not buy it even for $50.

It is only a good deal if you are happy with the piece. Thus the saying that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”

Thanks for all the help everyone! We haggled a bit and I’m getting the unicorn for $50. Hopefully I can fix him up 😀
