How many Windstones I have? Four (black flap cats couple, baby pegasus and baby unicorn, both white), plus a fake plaster young dragon I painted myself. π
April 11, 2008 at 4:48 pm #686501Hi All:
I’m new to the forum pages–just joined this morning–but I can tell how many Dragons I’ve got.
I started way back in the mid 80’s with a Peacock Male and juvenile. Then just before the Peacock color was retired, I got a Peacock Lap Dragon, and a Peacock Scratching Dragon. Then I ordered an Emerald Peacock Fledgling, since I figured I was never going to find that one in Peacock. (plus I was curious to see what that color looked like in real life)…;) My latest acquisition was a Peacock Emperor that I found in a shop in New Hope, PA just last weekend. I couldn’t believe my eyes…I’m sure the shop owner probably thought I was *REALLY* strange, since I kept making comments to my husband about not believing my luck…:D
I’m currently awaiting the arrival of a Peacock Mother and Hatchling and a Peacock Spectral.
TApril 11, 2008 at 4:53 pm #686502Welcome Tasgrs….I love the Peacock color especially on the Emperors and that was a great find… π
I’m sure you’ll find that your collection will start growing rapidly…I also just started out with 2 or 3 pieces and in just over a year and a hlf my collection is upto over 70… πMarzena
April 11, 2008 at 5:05 pm #686503Thanks for the welcome; after skimming through the posts on this thread I realize I am in the presence of greatness! LOL
I’ve been on a roll adding to the collection–after buying nothing for a few years, I’ve started up again. My hubby got a tad alarmed over the flurry of purchases, but since *he* collects coins (among other things!) he doesn’t have the room to squeak too much. Especially since he understands the concept of a retired piece. π
I’ve already warned him that the Sunset Griffins are on my list, so if they start showing up to roost on the other side of our entertainment unit, he shouldn’t be too surprised. π

π Ahh my hubby has been alarmed for the last year and a half… π I’ve also been on a roll myself and i’m I’m still rollin, you’ll find that your wish list will grow over time… π There are so many beautiful pieces and once you get started it is REALLY HARD to stop and I am speacking from experiance but the good thing is that being a part of the forum you will be able to complete your wish list and make your collection grow..even if some of the pieces you are looking for are retired, they pop up here in the flea market section from time to time. π I hope you get all the pieces you want and feel free to PM me if you ahve any questions. I have to admit that some of the members on here have been really helpful as far as me getting some of my pieces whcih are on the high end of the price spectrum… π
The memebers on the forum are really friendly and I am sure with time you will come to learn that… πMarzena
April 11, 2008 at 7:39 pm #686505Welcome tasgrs! I can tell Peacock is your favorite color? And you like the Sunset Griffins? If you check the Ask Melody section, you’ll see that Melody is going to do a limited run of those griffins with blue eyes on e-bay, if you can wait that long and don’t mind getting into a bidding war!
April 11, 2008 at 7:59 pm #686506Barrdwing! Ack, I forgot. Sorry! D: Anyway, here is a photo of the dragon with babies. It was water damaged when I was a baby… thankfully it was the only piece out of all of them that was damaged, and it didn’t get to the print part (half of them are wrapped in plastic anyway… but all the large prints aren’t).

Oh boy….thanks for telling me that…I *think* π That is bound to get me into serious trouble, especially since I have a thing for the blue eyes. My oldest horse (real critter) has blue eyes, along with 2 of my cats. And, of course, all the peacock Dragons! Their eyes were one of the things that got me started. I’ll have to check the Ask Melody section, I guess. π

Can I just say that I’m jealous?? Not that I would have room to display them all. But still jealous. π
April 12, 2008 at 1:31 pm #686510Well, before the forum I had 10, during this forum I had 105 now I’m down to 30…. And I hope to not sell anymore. (I’m just trying to keep from buying more too.)

Wow! That’s a beautiful print, Kujacker–thanks for posting the image! π I hadn’t seen that one before. The edging of the wings and the crest are remarkable, and the way the shadows fall on her scales. Sorry about the water damage π but with some creative matting that could probably be disguised or even covered.
I spy a feathery tail on the print underneath the dragons. Is that the elusive large pegasus print? The prints in general are so nice; I really will have to keep a closer eye on eBay.

Yes, the feathers are from the tail of the male pegasus. I didn’t know he was elusive though XD But I grew up with these, so I never knew their “worth” or anything about them (I actually thought the arist was male when I was young lol).
April 12, 2008 at 7:53 pm #686514I have that print too! I have the male print as well, and I have them facing each other on my wall. π π
