Melody, are the fires near Los Angeles threatening your house there?

The fires are very close, but our house is on the other side of some hills and the 210 freeway in Sunland,( 10906 Walnut dr Sunland, CA 91040 if you want to look at its position on google earth, or maps.)
Our house is being used to keep evacuated animals from the more threatened areas. I don’t think the fire will jump over the freeway unless the winds kick up, but it is REALLY close!
To clarify, we are not living in this Sunland house now. We had to leave it vacant when we moved here, to Oregon, because we couldn’t sell it.

I found a link to a map. Our house is right under that red area near where it says “Stonehurst” .

I’ll keep thinking good thoughts about your house and everyone else threatened by the fire. 🙁

That fire is intense to say the least! Best of luck to your house staying safe, and all of those animals too! Same goes for all of the people in that region, the fire is affecting a wide area!

It is; fortunately, the firefighters are working harder at fighting it by setting controlled burnings and clearing away brush, and it’s slowed the fire down. It’s not even peak fire season in California yet, either.

Well, at least once this fire is out there won’t have anything left to burn for the rest of the fire season! It should be an easy one!

Those fires are bad and it is very bad that at least two firefighter have lost their lives fighting it.
