I appologize for the pics I posted– I used a picture program to make them smaller– but for some reason they are still huge. I don’t know what happened!!!

Well one good thing is you can sure see the details! Good grief!

Each one was only supposed to be about 3″x5″ — that makes me so mad!
    grrrrrrr
Does anyone know how I can make them smaller so they can at least be seen in one look instead of having to scroll!!!???

Actually your pics appear big when they are loaded and then once they load it goes smaller. But as frozen said in another post…if you have adobe photoshop or something like that then you can just click on a button to make it that size.

One thing you have to look at sometimes is pixel width of the images as well as the width in inches. That can make a big difference.

I used my program to resize them with the sizes approximately 690×922 pixels.

Yeah, for posting online it’s best to think in terms of pixels instead of inches- a common mistake is to think that if you resize an image to say, 4″ x 6″, then it will appear that size on your screen. Nope! Computers have to be way more complicated than that. 😉

Image resolution comes into play here too but I won’t get into it for simplicity’s sake! 😉

A good rule of thumb is to consider your screen resolution. Most people have resolutions of at least 800 x 600 (actually this day and age, most have higher, but), so to make the image ‘screen friendly’ on the majority of screens, it’s best to make the longest side no bigger than 800 pixels.

This is to everyone: Please consider making your gallery images roughly no more than 800-900 pixels wide on the longest side of the image, and try to keep the file size around or under 100kb. This will help keep more room in your gallery for even more photos, and can actually save Windstone money in bandwidth usage. 🙂

If anyone has problems doing this then they are more than welcome to ask for help here or PM one of the many computer-savvy individuals on this board for help! 🙂
