See, I can understand that, but that’s ALL I HEAR AT WORK when I get overloaded with stuff that’s not even my job in the first place! “Well, just be HAPPY you HAVE a job!” I must hear that pop out of my managers mouth like 15 times a day. They should end all they’re sentances with that phrase… sometimes they actually DO 🙄

HAHAHA! Well, where’s the fun in sharing the story if it wasn’t an entertaining experience. You can ask siberakh1! I’ve met her in person several times, and I can be pretty animated… especially when I’m mad! XD

DUDE!!! You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!?!??! My new manager is a FREAKING NUT BAG!!!
He (in 3 days) has already made the Kitchen Designer who switched positions with me, me department head, AND starting tonight even made ME CRY!!!! They guy is the biggest ^&^(&*&%%^$^ PIECE OF )*^&@^#&*@&@ I have EVER MET!!! He has been a manager at my store, but never MY manager until now. My managers Dave and Danika were the ones who moved me, but it was Dave’s last day and now I have this new guy who used to be the manager of hard side (which is like plumbing, electrical, lumber…. stuff like that. Not “specialty” which is basically the special order and install related departments like I work in) He just went on a 30 minute flipping frenzy for NO REASON! (for standing up for myself I guess) He was taking little stabs at me all day about my demotion saying “oh what’s a matter, you can’t handle this job either” when he would give me his stupid little work lists. Like 3 times he made little comments like “well, i know it’s not as HARD as designing a kitchen but can you AT LEAST handle THIS?” Stuff like that. I ignored it like 3 times and then the 4th time he mentioned it I said “I don’t know where you got you’re information from, but I ASKED to leave Kitchen Design NOT because I couldn’t handle it, or because it was too much for me. I begged to leave for months because it was more important for me to make signs and complete worklists then it was for me to sell kitchens and I did them both for almost 2 years and never even got my raise for the promotion. That’s why I left the position so can you stop poking fun at me and making comments about it please”
Well, apparently I spoke out of context because next thing I knew I was getting my butt hauled in the office. When I got there Diane, one of the head cashiers was there as a female witness for what came next. DUDE!!! HE WAS FLIPPING! He must have used the terminology “How dare you” and “Who do you think you are” like 5 or 6 times because I wouldn’t submit and just let him talk to me that way. I can tell he WANTED to just fire me! (he’s technically not allowed to, only the store manager can) Once he started getting out of line, I admit, I did too, but there was NO WAY he was going to say that crap to me and just get away with it.
He said that “Obviously I couldn’t handle design and even after I get moved I’m still causing problems and can’t handle my own job” THAT was when I got really mad and snapped at him and said that ” I ASKED to be moved, NO BEGGED to be moved NOT because I couldn’t handle it, it was I was giving my customers sub par service because of all the extra tasks given to me and I asked what was more important. Having me focus exclusively on kitchens or doing their signs because I was tired of not getting paid for doing the work of two people and when I finally said I want either a RAISE or to be MOVED or else I’m going to quit they finally compromised and moved me” He kept telling me “I’m forgetting myself and who I was and last time HE checked HE WAY MY boss, not the other way around so I need to lower my voice RIGHT NOW and think before I speak before I regret it”
The guy is a complete douche and he ended it with “There are going to be A LOT of changes around here” and then he pointed at me and was like “Starting with you and this kitchen department” He even tried bringing Diane (the woman who was called in as a witness) into it and was like “Can you believe her?” asking Diane. Diane just kept her head down and was like “I’m sorry Tony, I don’t know the situation and I don’t want to be involved” He was pacing back and forth and sitting down and standing up like he was trying keep himself from smashing my face in. He’s a PSHYCO! He’s on a sick power trip, and was also saying that he doesn’t know who is crazier, me or Lindesy. (the designer he made cry yesterday over a similar incident, she made him look bad)
Then at the end he was like “Anything ELSE now you would like to add that I can take note on in the report I am filing for your insubordination!?” ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW??? I just said “no I guess you said it all” and left and I know I’m also going to get into trouble for not completing my work list since he felt the need to scream at me so long it crossed past the end of my shift.
I just punched and left and then called my department head. She can’t stand the way he talks to her either. She told me they got into it because he asked her to lift something and she couldn’t and he made a comment on why he would even bother asking a woman to try and even lift anything in the first place, so she was pretty pissed too.
She gave me Human Resources phone number and told me to call first thing so now I have a meeting set up tomorrow which was supposed to be my day off.
RAWR!!!!! I’m SO FREAKING MAD right now!!!!! 👿

We’re here gal–and believe me, you’re not alone!
Drag0n, you need to DOCUMENT EVERY WORD HE SAYS TO YOU. Keep a small note pad handy and write every little thing down. What he says, day/time/date, what YOU say, were there witnesses or not, what THEY said, circumstances surrounding the conversation, etc. then get yourself a bound notebook with numbered pages, and keep the transcribed stuff in there. Because if this head case decides to keep making disparaging remarks, if you have evidence in writing, and he doesn’t, it’s a lot easier to defend your case should it get to that point. Keep the bound book in your car or locked securely away somewhere. Should you need to talk to a lawyer about being harassed, it’s always better to have written evidence, especially if you enemy does not. Trust me on this one; been there, done that. Got the trophy and went home. 8)
