Wow, is that ever a good deal. I paid $300 a month when I boarded my mare, and that didn’t include vet or farrier.

Thankfully once I get my stuff going here, I won’t have to pay boarding fees. I am going to have four stalls with small corrals attached, a tack room, an approx. 3 acre pasture, and a lighted arena. But it is going to take me awhile, since that all takes money.

I am looking forward to having horses here though, I miss it.

You are really lucky to have such a fine horse. I look forward to seeing the two of you all dressed up for show.

Wow, that’s great! What state are you in?

The local stable that I used to ride at charges $1100/month just for board nowadays.
Thats crazy 😯 You can find horses that cost less than that!
😆 That’s the truth! They increased the rates a lot since they renovated recently and it really is a world class facility now. But its still really expensive…though faculty/staff/students get a break on the rates.

When I had a half lease on a horse there >15 years ago, it was already $400/month. I didn’t have to pay for farrier/vet bills, but I did have to pay extra for lessons ($30/half hour). I wonder how much lessons cost nowadays?

I know around here 15 years ago boarding was around $600. I’d hate to find out how much it is now.
