Just thought I’d share this since I know we have a bunch of horse owners/lovers here. I’ve been saving hair from Copper’s tail for years, hoping to have something made with it someday. I finally found a web site that had designs that I like and could afford. Carol was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for something like this. Here is her web site address. http://minitreasuredmemories.com She can also use dog hair in some of her designs

Here’s what she made for me.

The set of three, toward the end, are just exquisite. <3 What is the middle one? A lapel pin? I just love them.

That’s a pendant. The chain just goes thru the loop at the top. That was Carol’s newest design. She hadn’t done earrings to go with it yet, but I got her to try it. We were both happy with the results. 🙂 I also got her to make the pendant bigger for me. It’s 2″ instead of 1 1/2″. It’s nice having 2 totally different sets to wear.

Someone has been practicing their wirewrap techniques. And it does look nice. Sterling silver, half round and square stock. Gauge is harder to tell on each piece, say 20-22, maybe an 18. Some of the finer stuff looks like it might be as thin as 24.
I wish I did it so well, my stones would look wrapped that way.

I want some for me, I lost my mare Cricket 11 years ago, I still have her tail hair somewhere. If you could get me the contact info, I’d appreciate it.
