Maybe she will change it before she re-lists it.
January 8, 2007 at 10:21 pm #522429Sad thing is he might have sold for that or near to if they had had a realistic starting bid, with a start of 199, where did they expect him to go?
January 8, 2007 at 10:22 pm #522430Yup. Give is a low starting bid… a reserve if you must… then you will at least have an idea of what folks will pay for it.

and leave out the part about how “professional” she is….blah
January 8, 2007 at 10:34 pm #522432I’m not surprised. I didn’t expect it to sell at all.
January 8, 2007 at 10:35 pm #522433I expected it to sell, but just for the starting bid since someone showed interest in it from the questions posted. I guess they changed there minds.

That was me.

Good thing I’m not a gambling person or I would have lost 😀 Hopefully your question will let the artist know people are interested, but hints to her to list it lower since it didn’t sell. I think it is pretty, but that’s a pretty steep price to start with. She must be pretty confident in her work.

lol I agree. I think the finished product should speak for itself.

Absolutely true.

Aha…its reappeared at a lower starting price…January 9, 2007 at 6:57 am #522439Still, listing something that high a starting price can’t be too cheap as far as ebay fees go either. I think it’s very pretty, but The scales really need something. It looks too plain. Like it was just painted flat white fresh from the box. I wonder how hard it was to airbrush like that and how long it took?

How long do kirins take you to do?
And a lot of us also thought the scales looked too plain…
January 9, 2007 at 7:13 am #522441It depends, So far the Bongo ones have taken me the longest. Probably about 14 -1 8 hours, but the purple KiRin and the Koi Ki-Rin took about 6 – 8 hours. I think the Fire Ki-Rin took a little bit, but it was the first one I did so I took my time a little more
