It’s not just my imagination, right? She changed it a little, but puh-leeze. The clouds and the sun position are pretty much identical. Hers isn’t good enough to stir my irritation on a normal basis (I’ve pretty much given up being pissed about ALL the little nitwits straight copying on DA), but she’s selling prints. For charity (I suspect this to be a lie). I imagine she thought she could get away with it, since the book is really old and out of print – amazon doesn’t even have a picture anymore. Too bad for her I’ve got a pretty good memory when it comes to books I’ve read (and their covers). 9_9

She actually has a reference link at the bottom of the post to the picture she was recreating. So she is at least admitting that the picture composition is not original. I’m not sure if what she did is still plagiarism, but… Here’s the original:

If she is recreating an artwork that is already copyrighted, and trying to make a profit from that copy, then that is copyright enfringement.
