        This video is of a high powerline worker and what they do. I don’t know when it was filmed, but for about 4 min it’s quite interesting. The link will open up Window Media player.

          My husband doesn’t do quite that but he does climb regular power poles for a living. There are some days when he comes home and tries to tell me how his day was and I don’t really want to listen cause it scares the hell out of me! My grandfather also climed power poles for a living (in the middle of blizzards!) 😯

            I can completely understand (ignorance can be bliss). My hat’s off to those who do this kind of work. It’s one of those things where we use power and electricity everyday, but give so little thought to who has to keep the system up and running.
