I’m confused. I thought the potential PYO was a smaller version of the Secrete Keeper?
July 6, 2007 at 4:33 am #594811The “keeper PYO” is not the big Secret Keeper dragon…it’s a little guy, bigger than the griffin PYO and smaller than a production male dragon. Here’s a link to one Melody painted in the gallery…
http://www.windstoneeditions.com/galleries/albums/userpics/Keeper_dragon_and_Male_dragon_size_compare_jpg.jpgwow…I hope we get more word on this soon…

😀 The Secret Keeper would make ONE HECK of a PYO!!! :D:D If I had one I think it would take me YEARS to paint!

Oh well. What ever will be will be.July 6, 2007 at 5:29 pm #594815I’m wondering if the fact that the mini secret keeper (pyo) looks so much like the real one, which might make keeping trademark exclusivity harder — by that I mean… lets say someone buys a keeper PYO, then paints it in this wonderful glowing blue with gold and bronze and purple accents. At the same time, at the Windstone factory, Melody, or someone in the paint crew develops something similar for a OOAK Keeper– all by chance, since color is universal and what looks good together for one person will prolly look good together for others.
If that person with the PYO posts theirs first in the gallery, there might be some legal esoteric reason I just don’t know or prolly understand that would stop Windstone from selling theirs (too much similarity– not just color, but the same PIECE, in essence)… and since a lot of OOAK auction pieces have color schemes that are further developed into WIndstone colors, it might be that while the keeper PYO is incredible, maybe the problem is in the similarity, at the possible limitations it might being to the company itself?
I could be totally off base, but that was how I was looking at it even when I first say the PYO, the problems it could bring. 🙁

Oh well. What ever will be will be.The dragons in particular seem to be the main source of problems. This includes the existing PYO dragon. It’s complicated. 🙁
