I to am hard of hearing and wear two digital in the ear hearing aids. I have the in the ear type because my the skin in my ears are allergic to plastic and the aids cannot touch the outer part of my ears – bummer. I don’t have a speech problem because I grew up hearing. It is believed that the Mono I had my junior year in college did the damage – high temperature – and it has been a gradual loss thru the years.

Awe, I have the similar problem when it’s comes to ear mold. My both ears are sensitive to certain kind of ear molds. xD I grew up in both places, so I mostly mainstream with hearing people, and been around them more than I was with my deaf friends. I still like being around deaf people or with people that knows more ASL. So that, I wouldn’t have a problem reading certain people’s lips that’s not that readable at the times. Lol.
