Okay, WSC…it’s your turn in the spotlight. Here’s your first question.

We’ve all admired your PYOs, so how and when did you get started painting? (I guess that was really two questions. πŸ˜† )

        Yay, WSC!

                😯 *gulp* 😯

                *clears throat*

Well, I am flattered to be here. I never expected to be put in the spotlight. Thank you. (Guess I will have to make sure and check this thread now. πŸ˜† )

Star, to answer your question, I started to paint plaster and ceramics with my grandmother when I was about 7 years old. She would buy these huge elaborate plaster sculptures at the local pottery place. Fruit bowls and huge owl banks as examples.
Until the PYO’s came out, I hadn’t painted since 1991. I took 4 years of art my senior year in highschool…Pottery, sculpting, drawing 1, and painting. I REALLY stink with painting on paper though. πŸ˜› There was never detailing when I was little, just paint the color on. πŸ˜‰ I loved having 4 art classes my senior year. I hated study halls because I didn’t need them. My true choice for paper art is colored pencils. I also like to do black and whites in ink.
Actually, I have to admit, I never expected to do as many swaps as I have with fellow forum members. πŸ˜€
Painting is actually one of the most relaxing things I can do with my time, and it keeps my speeding mind away from dwelling on problems I may have. 😳
                Thank you for asking. πŸ˜€

                (BTW…Thanks Star for giving me a poke. πŸ˜† )
