Congrats. I would definately recomend a traditional dinner (forgot the name). I loved the humidity. My skin was nice and soft and my hair loved the moisture.

I will not be anywhere near sharks! I’ll be lucky if I step foot in the ocean at all while I’m there! Are you serious? Why on Earth not? π― Why go to an island if not to swim in the oceans? π

The commercial stuff is cool for a day or two but go see something like the North Shore on Oahu. It is gorgeous!!
Cool! I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks for the tip π Sea turtles are such beautiful creatures, and I like to watch them swim. They look like they’re flying in the water.

I’m with you on that! But my husband is not that crazy about it. I would like to… but not him. I don’t get it either. π I’m gonna try to convince him when we get there though. I think he wouldn’t mind it so much, if we could find a beach without a lot of people. Don’t even know if that’s possible! But there are some rental homes he’s been looking at that have private beach access nearby. He’s just not someone who likes being around large crowds. I’ve learned to not take him with me to the mall anymore, cause he gets cranky!

Hawaii was GREAT but I was not able to do much sight seeing when I wsa there. I wsa there for a charity event on Ohau. I was on teh commercial side of the island and not too impressed.
I’d LOVE to go back one day though and see more real Island thingsI’m just happy to be going somewhere completely different! There is so much to see in our world… and this will be a little treat for me. I do plan on going to see Pearl Harbor while we’re there. I would be very disappointed if we didn’t.

I believe you’re thinking of a luau. We do plan on doing that!
March 5, 2008 at 1:08 pm #674199Traditional dinner? Thats a luau, right? Where they bury and roast the pig?

Yes, I have come to realize that! But I’m also starting to not like it as much. I used to love shopping for clothes and jewelry when I was single. Never liked shopping for shoes and purses though… cause I’m so picky with those, and they never have what I’m looking for. But, now that I’ve been married for a few years… I just find myself not wanting to go anymore. Now, all I care about is buying Windstones! π

I still have no problem going shopping for purses and clothes. I could hang around a mall all day long. If I only shopped for Windstones, my bank account would be much happier. I think I made Paul take me to every mall in Ohio while I was there. Every pet store, too. Poor guy.
March 6, 2008 at 6:48 am #674202Late in on the conversation, but… Congrats travistie!
How many Windstones do you have now anyway?March 6, 2008 at 2:13 pm #674203skigod377 wrote:travistie wrote:skigod377 wrote:Me and Justin are looking forward to swimming with the sharks. Well, I am anyway. π

You’ve all prolly seen this one but I’ll post it anyway π My Brother and his family live in Melbourne, OZ and love to surf, although after Chrissie (sister-in-law) saw this one on the news she wasn’t too sure she was gonna let Lauren (the 3 year old) out on the board with Dad for awhile. This hasn’t been photoshopped and that’s Dave (bro) on the board. His friend Mohonri snapped it. π

Yes, that is what I’ve heard. Poor piggy!
You can also have this stuff called poi. (I think I spelled that right). It’s a paste of some sort and the Hawaiians love it. I’ve heard mixed reviews about it though. Some people like, and others hate it. I think I’ll give it a try, and find out for myself though.

Is that a dolphin?
While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!
