Me neither. I did get some new Lindt truffles this weekend that were awesome. Pricey though. $1.99 for one box. Boy were they worth it…
π― I know Swiss products are expensive, but I’ve never seen a box priced like that! Unless you custom ordered them…Ahem…$1.99 Big difference there. π³
September 18, 2007 at 9:49 am #616176That’s good!!! I couldn’t really imagine you spending that much on truffles when you could’ve bought a Windstone!! π
September 18, 2007 at 10:01 am #616177Good grief! I could not imagine spending that much on something that I am just going to eat! Reminds me of the $2,000 hams some guy is selling. You have to get on a wait list and everything. Edit: here is the story… http://www.usatoday.com/travel/destinations/2007-08-27-spains-expensive-ham_N.htm?csp=34

Ski, I know you like food….but where in the hell do you FIND this stuff???
September 18, 2007 at 10:43 am #616179Hahahahha!!! I dont remember how I stumbled on this article… I just remembered it when we got to talking about $200 chocolate.
September 18, 2007 at 11:33 am #616180I think I’ll pass on the ham too….and to think I was grumbling about my $99 grocery bill and that was food for several days!!! π
September 18, 2007 at 11:43 am #616181Well, the ham selling guy did bring up a good point: The ham can feed about 20 people while a good bottle of wine goes down quickly among only a few. Still both (The pig and the wine) too pricey for me, but a bunch of pals over for dinner still sounds good.

Now I’m laughing at you for the other extreme. You think $1.99 for a box of chocolate is expensive? π
September 18, 2007 at 11:53 am #616183You are bad!!! I was not going to ask that!!! π

Now I’m laughing at you for the other extreme. You think $1.99 for a box of chocolate is expensive? πIt was a bar of chocolate but its in a box type wrapper… hard to describe… picture a candy bar, and when you unwrap the top paper, its in a box. Thats what it was like. $1.99 for a bar of chocolate is pricey… they are usually only $.69 or something. It was worth it though. I would send you guys some, but I have to manage to get it to the PO before it gets eaten… by the dogs of course… I have more self control.
September 18, 2007 at 12:27 pm #616186Now, now….you need to send it to us!!! Chocolate isn’t good for dogs!! π

What was the name of the chocolate? Do you rememeber?
And I still think $1.99 is cheap. Our cheapest bars here are 90 Rappen (cents) and high-end Lindt bars can go to three franks – about $2.50.September 18, 2007 at 3:37 pm #616188Its not cheap when you are broke π They were truffels, I think… I will def get them again and then I will let you know for sure. π
September 18, 2007 at 4:13 pm #616189Thanks. Then I can go get some of my own. π
