Hey GB…when you come over here next month, are there any places you want to go to do some sight-seeing, or are you just visiting friends? What are your plans? (besides picking up the million Windstones that Wolfen has for you) 😀
I’ll be doing both. I’m thinking of using a thread in this subforum to let people know when I’m where, so that if there are any Windstoners in the area who have time for a chat and a taste for Swiss chocolate, we can say hi.
So far, my itinerary looks like this.
I reach Michigan July 3 after a five hour layover in Newark and stay until about the 25th. Then I fly down to Texas for a very few days to meet Wolfen, pick up my Windstones – 15 now; who knows how many after I actually go into stores that sell them 😳 – and then I’ll fly on to Colorado. At the end of August I’ll hop over to California to visit Nirvana and Louis – just at Nirvana’s birthday, which means another Windstone that won’t be staying with me. I wonder if I can actually manage to give them away 😆 . After that, I’m not sure about details yet. I just know I will also stop by Wisconsin on my way back to Detroit to visit a friend and his family. My flight for home leave Detroit on Septmeber 10; I arrive home on September 11. A day later Mom and Stef leave for Hungary.
If anyone sees themself within reach of the stops I listed, let me know. I’d like to meet you. And I’ll know how much chocolate to bring.
As for what I’ll be doing – I’ll be sightseeing. But I mainly want to do stuff, not just look at things. ATV riding and kayaking is lined up for Colorado; camping and a canoeing is planned for Michigan, and Nirvana and Louis are taking me to Disneyland with them.That sounds like too much fun, girl!! I wanna come along! You are gonna get to meet a few folks from the forum… that is pretty cool. Nervous?
Nah. I don’t think they bite – or if they do, my teeth are just as sharp. 😆
Wolfen just e-mailed me to let me know I could stay with her, so I’ll spend a few days – maybe more – in Texas with her and we’ll drive up to Austin to see Cheryl. I’m doubly excited. 😀I wish!! I Have not made it to the states in years!! Imagine how my family would feel if I told them I had come back to the states, but only to shop for dragons and visit folks I had never met before 😆
I wish you were going to see more of NJ than Newark Airport! 😥 It’s certainly going to give you a bad impression of our state.
Aw well. I did my best but I really can’t cover the whole of the States in just nine weeks. You wouldn’t perchance be in the Newark area…?

Well, if you come visit me, you can at least wave at your Mom as you drive by Brooksville. 😉

Darn!!! I’ll miss you by a few days!! I’ll be passing through the Newark area on the 8th or 9th.
