Just because you kick A$$ at repairs! 😆
No, really, she does…She’s great at it, like Kyrin…Speaking of Kyrin, had anyone heard from her lately? Or am I just missing her posts around here? 😕April 20, 2010 at 7:24 pm #811529What happened to this dragon? 😮
I`ve seen pics of repaired dragons on the forum. I`m crossing my fingers. Someone can probably make him beautiful for you 🙂

Don’t honestly know how he sustained so much damage. He was a bargain buy at the salvation army. And he was damaged already.

Yes she just has a really crazy busy life lately 🙂 But she’s doing good.
April 21, 2010 at 7:35 pm #811532I am still alive and even still fixing things. LOL! Sorry I haven’t been around a lot last few months, should start seeing me more in the next coming month or two, as the reason I have been so scarce will be here and I will have more time to do other things once more.
Updates, I have completed Mmloda’s dragon, some of Drnlvr’s, and a couple others, still have several here to complete, poor Pixiekissed’s dragon is still here, but slowly gaining back new scales, just had to get new AS, the old stuff was failing to stick. So will be on that once more. Gonna be working on some orientals soon, and then I hope to be able to start clearing some space for people who have patiently been waiting on the waiting list.
Also, anyone who might have things here, please contact me, my computer died and was replaced, all files I had on what is here is toast, I do know what most of it is, but I have a couple I don’t know where they go, fixed, but no one to send them to, please identify. Karli kinda took all my post it notes off of everything, so thank the 3 year old for me not knowing anymore after I lost my master lists.
ideally, if you could email me, that would be best, PM’s pile up fast here.

April 21, 2010 at 8:43 pm #811533So did your coiled end up going out for repairs? I would love to see before and after pictures if he did! 🙂

He’s going to go to Kalandra for repairs before too long, so not yet.. but he will!

April 22, 2010 at 2:58 am #811536Photos would be lovely 😀 I always love a happy ending 😆
April 22, 2010 at 3:34 am #811537AnonymousI agree with Nicole!
It would be kind of neat to have a category for REPAIRS so you fixer-uppers could post before and after pix in one place – I was sent pictures of the Peacock Mother that Kalandra got from me, she repaired it and I think even added a little dust LOL I honestly couldn’t tell what was broken before. (kidding about the dust btw!) Good as new!
Brings up a curious thought I have had for awhile now – I know the repair people fix a lot of Windstones, for personal collections but I wondered if any people are selling them, do they disclose if they have had them professionally repaired? Does it matter or not? I would want to know if I was buying a once broken item, whether it was a Windstone or a piece of furniture however, it probably wouldn’t stop me from buying it if I wanted it, and if the repair was professionally done. Now I also wonder if Windstone has ever fixed broken or chipped statues and then sold them?
And, if I am out of line for asking, then the Powers that Be can just delete this message 😉 I mean no harm!

No harm in asking at all Poems!…… I would NEVER sell a Windstone thats been repaired….and not disclose that information….no matter how great the repair is!
I have only sold one repaired Windstone and that was a Pegesus I sold to Bodine …who I fully disclosed what was wrong with him, and how he was repaired.Ive also repaired many things for other people… now if they decide to sell an item that has been repaired and not disclose that information…. thats their business…. even if I dont agree with it. 🙁
I would love to hear other peoples oppions who work on repairs!
April 22, 2010 at 2:12 pm #811539I wouldn’t sell one on the ones I have repaired period. But that is my preference, its not that my work is inferior, I just don’t entertain the thought of selling them. I don’t buy ones I don’t want to keep anyway. I am not above buying repaired pieces or pieces needing repair work though. 😀

I agree, I would definately post that it was repaired if I were to sell anything.
I like Poem’s idea of a Repairs (Before and after) topic, that would be great since Kalandra is going to repair one of mine. (I won it on ebay and had the seller ship it directly to Kalandra for repairs. XD )
Oh btw, it shipped yesterday Kal.April 22, 2010 at 3:32 pm #811541Poems wrote:I agree with Nicole!

There is a topic for folks that do repairs- look at the top of the General Windstone page! 🙂 There are some before and after images there.
If someone sells an items and lists it as ‘mint’ or does not disclose repair work, they are misrepresenting the item. On eBay that’s against the rules, and I hope it wouldn’t happen here… but if it does, please let me know.
Windstone never sells damaged/repaired statues, except rarely in eBay auctions, and Melody always discloses if they are not mint! Even if it is just a paint chip that she herself fixes in a special piece (which still seems pretty mint to me- coming directly from the creator’s hands!).
