Ruffian and a few others noticed this fellow on eBay and tried to figure him out. After asking the seller a few questions, she said that she bought him in 1987 from a ‘reputable shop in the mall’, and he came with the crystal balls.
We let her know she might have a counterfeit Windstone and told her that it should be as heavy as the white mother (a real one) she is also selling. She responded with this:
Quote:It used to have the felt but it fell off. It does have the pena stamp (which is a match to the other one) and it is just as heavy. It was bought from a reputable shop at a large mall. But thanks for your input!
So now I’m really confused! I’m pretty sure you never released any dragons with crystal globes like this, but I’m not saying that she’s being dishonest at all.. she probably did buy him this way. Were there ever fakes like this? What’s your opinion on this fellow?

A dragon with extra jewels or chrystals on it isn’t necessarily a fake, because the stores sometimes glued extras on, but an old green with blue eyes AND extra (cheap looking) globes is almost certainly fake. We didn’t sell blue-eyed greens to stores. If it weighs about as much as the other one, the other one is most likely a phoney too. There were knock off dragons like this, both the male and female..
