First I want to say I’m not posting this to hurt anyone’s feelings or step on any toes. Kyrin does wonderful repair work, but she is taking a vacation and I’m sure she has enough boxes taking up space in her house already!
I purchased this hatching tortoise to repair myself. When he arrived he was very dirty and had more damage than I thought I could handle. Kyrin had agreed to fix him for me, but it turned out I couldn’t send him before her vacation deadline. I approached drag0nfeathers about repairing him. I have purchased commissions from her before and I knew how lovely her work was. I think he came out wonderful…she did an outstanding job!

Thanks so much lamortefille! I’m glad you liked how he came out! I’m probably no match for Kyrin’s work, but I’m glad I could help out while she was on vacation! 
I always repair my own Windstones when I get them damaged, but never really considered doing it for others. I did a Flion for nessiemom once, but that’s about it that I can remember.
I started doing it because I HATE claiming insurance through the postal service and I’ve always had problems. I never even bother with insurance anymore for stuff I buy, because if I get it’s I’d rather just keep it and fix it up.
I think I’d cry if I had to hand over a broken Windstone to the post office and have them just throw it away. So far I’ve done my whole peacock family, the mother, male, young, and a lap dragon. Then I did a green mother I bought from Arlla me and a brown mother I won on ebay that had crushed wings. A couple of my gargoyles, and some minor chips on a coulple of others. I think the hardest ones were the Lap dragon because it’s horns were ripped out completely and the Flion because I had to resculpt all the furry mane bits. Matching the paint on that one sucked bigtime too! LOL! The mother dragons were pretty bad too, but for some reason matching their paint was really easy.
Anywho, the turtle was an easy fix! I’m glad you like him. I hope he looks even better in person! He’s on his way home as we speak!
