Edit: Thank you everyone, this fellow’s sold. 🙂
Hi guys, I’m stepping out of lurk-dom to sell this fellow.
Long story short, I’m short on shelf space and while I really like the dinosaurs, to complete the set would require a pretty penny, a good bit of time and a full free shelf. None of which I have. So since I know this fellow’s pretty uncommon, I figure someone else aiming for the full set could really enjoy him more than I could.
I’m asking $100 plus shipping, but will consider trades or partial trades. He’s in fair condition.
Now for a list of his faults… When he arrived, the little guy was yellow and smelled like an ashtray. Umpteen Q-tips got rid of most of the yellow and I no longer smell the smoke, but can’t promise that someone else won’t smell it. (He’s currently in a home with pets and occasional incense, but IMO that’s minor.) He has prominent paintrubs on his nose, a dirty pad, a teeny fleabite on his right eyelid, a teeny fleabite on top of his head, and dings on the front of his shell that go down to and expose the gypsum. (one or two dings even go below where the gypsum surface should be) On the right side of his eggshell, there’s a crack that I’m 98% sure is supposed to be there, but can’t say for sure. (it looks like he was made that way and it’s not a repair) On the left side of his eggshell, there are minor pockmarks where it looks like either the paint was bubbly or the casting was porous, but I can’t tell which. He has no box or tag.
The most prominent flaws are the nose rubs and dirty pad, with the dings on the front of his shell coming in second place. I frankly think he displays nicely, but want to emphasize that he isn’t mint by a long shot.
I can provide references, and if shipped by USPS in the United States, I’ll pay for his insurance and tracking myself. I am familiar with how delicate Windstones are, and will gladly wrap him like a mummy and double-box him.
All sales are final. If you’re interested in trades, here’s a list of pieces I’d be interested in. I’m not that picky about condition, so long as damage is fully disclosed and reflected in the value.
Full trades I would take include,
Wizards Retreat Candlelamp,
or,
Male Sunset Griffin
or,
darker palomino/lighter chestnut GB unicorn. (hey, can’t hurt to throw it out there…)Partial trade pieces I’d be interested in would include,
Sitting sunset Griffin Chick,
Lying Down Baby Pegasus, (with or without necklace)
Hatching Peacock Emperor
Grimalkin Spooky Candlelamp
Peacock Mouse WizardThanks!
Edit: Hmm, with the new site, let’s see if I can figure out how to post images…
