When I tell my husband the names of the colors, he tries to correct me. I’ll say that Oriental Dragon is Jade and he’ll say “It’s more of a dark teal, don’t you think?” And I’ll say that it’s what Windstone calls it. And he’ll just look at me oddly. Or the Ruby — fire engine red with majenta shading. He’s a theater set designer, so he’s very particular about colors. All he talks about is Vandyke Brown — great for looking like dirt, great for darkening a color, etc. He kept after me to add it to the pink kirin. I finally told him that I didn’t want a kirin that looked dirty! He’s quit finally. I think he’s realized that it’s not about the actual color. It’s the name of the color. Geez!
He’s learning though. And he’s actually getting better about Windstones. He likes the Frog Wizard I got for stock. Even told me to put it out on my geek shelving so he could look at it until it sells. π
