Hey guys! My friend just saw Dragon Wars (B movie) and said that there was a good dragon at the end that looked exactly like the Windstone Oriental Dragon. I haven’t seen the movie and I can’t find any movie stills of it. My friend is not a collector I don’t know how close it is or not. Also, they said that in the credits there was an Elizabeth Pena. I didn’t know if that was any relation.

      Anybody know anything?

            Found a trailer for it:

I’ve never seen it, or heard of it til now.

I saw it last weekend. It’s definetly a b-movie but I enjoyed it just because of all the cool dragon and wurm effects XD

If you go to the official site http://www.dragon-wars.com/ hover over the center text “dragon wars” and select photo gallery the background picture will be a back view of the celestial dragon. Screensavers and wallpapers shows a front view in the background. It’s an celestial dragon yes (and awesome looking), but I don’t know if it looks overly similar to the sun dragon as compared to any other celestial dragon.

Melody’s Oriental is definitely more appealing. The CG of the trailer alone is pathetic.

I saw it the day it came out. My friend and I were like “Lets go see a movie.” “Let’s go see a BAD movie.” “…Dragon Wars!”

Seriously x__x; 😆 I was going to post about this movie actually, but never did XD Everyone is surprised that even went to the theatres… it’s a movie that should have just gone right to dvd. …like Snakes on a Train.

Um. Though I wouldn’t say the (only dragon in the entire movie) at the end looked like Windstone’s though. No… He was just a standard Eastern dragon… just as the Windstone orientals are. *shrug*
Just looks up “eastern dragons” and wala. You’ll get very stylized art, but it’s all the same looking dragon(s).

you all know I am a CGI freak. So I was “yay”! (yes, I also watch bad story cgi movies)
                  then I saw THIS:

and even I went “ack no!”

but I may buy the DVD. Just like I bought the Eragon thing.

                  greets

It actually looks a lot better in theatres than that trailer x_X The dragon/wurm scenes are actually pretty cool (well, at least I liked them XD) Now if only you could fast-forward through all the dialog between the scenes…

But heck, it was a lot better than Reign of Fire which had what? Like 3 total minutes of dragon CGI in the entire move? Not that I’m irrationally bitter about that. *stabs*

Yeah. The cgi in the movie looked better than that…

Really? I was thinking about watching that just to see the dragons, but if they’re barely visible I’ll just pass.

But Reign of Fire actually had a decent plot. Dragon Wars suck! I tried to watch it today…but ended up walking out a little after half way point and watched Order of the Phoenix again. Felt like I was watching a 2 hr version of the Power Rangers! 😯

Thank you everyone for posting. I guess it’s nothing to worry about. After I heard about the quality of it I didn’t want to go.

Well, I was probably going to see it just for the dragons, but now I have to see it. Cheesy as they were/are, I like some of the PR incarnations. I never said I was sane. Plus I watch crappy movies all the time on purpose anyway.

I thought it looked terrible, and that clip only reinforces that belief. What’s with the dinosaurs? I thought this was about dragons? I hate it when people don’t know the difference, especially people who have money enough to make a movie. Duh!

Reign of Fire was very good, btw. It was more about people than dragons, but the dragons were CGI’d pretty good, and the people are good actors and believable characters. Awesome!
