This is happening in the state I live in. I think it is tragic. I also think Bob Murray is rough around the edges (putting it nicely).

That’s awful. I understand why they are waiting, but it’s terrible if any of the original miners are still alive. My heart goes out to all the families.

They actually gave up looking for them? Or are they just going to continue the search later because of the recent “bump”? A few of the searchers actually died when that happened. I think I heard a few weren’t found too.

              This happened in Utah DM.

They’ve quit looking? That’s awful. I saw about it in Colorado.

According to foxnews.com, they have suspended the search because of the newest collapse. The mine is a complete mess now. Here’s the latest:

😥 Those poor guys, and their families. It was reported that they were supposed to be reached only 3 days after the accident. It’s now day 10 or 11. It is truly heart breaking.

We have a lot of cave ins here in the mines in WV. But not because of earthquakes. Mostly because of wealthy folk down in Louisiana buying up old coal mines here and hiring people to work in them without making sure the mines are safe and up to code. They hire uneducated and ill experienced workers that wouldn’t know about the safty codes and send them down into a cave. But at least they try and find them when the mine caves in. Happened in Sago last year. So far whenever the mines have caved in they always search till the find them, even though they are usually gone by then. But there was one man in Sago that survived.

That’s the heartbreaking thing about mine cave-ins…there rarely are survivors. I was so hoping this time, but it wasn’t to be.
