Has anybody purchased a Windstone from rgrant1741 on ebay. I won the large white wizord and sent him/her an email about packing and shipping (along with the thread) the wizard but am unable to get a reply from them. In my email I told rgrant1741 I would process payment asa I heard from them if there is any additional shipping charges per my request. If anybody has did it arrive safely? I need to process paypal payment today. Thanks

August 27, 2007 at 6:11 pm #492442August 27, 2007 at 6:25 pm #612442I cant recall the name but check your ebay messages if you had them forwarded to an email account. My Ebay messages used to get forwarded to my email account and then one day they just stopped. I thought all these sellers were ignoring me, and all the messages ended up being in my Ebay messages. Just thought the same thing might have happened to you.
August 28, 2007 at 2:06 am #612443I hope you get the wizard in good shape, darjeb. I’d have asked them first whether they would box according to directions, though.
August 28, 2007 at 1:27 pm #612444If you still haven’t heard from the seller, you can get their contact info, including a (hopefully working) phone number…they get your info, too, so it should alert them that you are trying to get in touch with them.

September 1, 2007 at 11:59 pm #612445Thanks for all the good advise lamortefille, GB and Ski. I tried everything but never got ahold of the seller – the phone no. was no good. I guess I was worried for nothing the wizard arrived late this afternoon and dwaer did the best packing job I have ever seen on anything I ordered and most importantly the wizard arrived in one piece.
Since communication was non-existant I am dickering as to what kind of feedback to leave. He left me a great positive feedback and the wizard was packed with great care. What do you guys think?
September 2, 2007 at 12:22 am #612446Yeah! A wizard survived a trip through the mail! 😀
September 2, 2007 at 12:24 am #612447congrats!..though you have never seen how i pack windstones..purplecat can give you details on that one hee hee
September 2, 2007 at 1:50 am #612448Thank goodness! Congratulations.
September 2, 2007 at 2:55 am #612449of course leave positive…everything came alright…
they have that new survey to fill out now….and just rate them lower on the communication
September 2, 2007 at 4:12 am #612450I agree with frozen: Leave positive feedback, but rate them lower on communication. The most important thing is that they did take care packing the wizard and he arrived safely. It’s possible that their communication is all fritzed up for other reasons, like maybe a family crisis or something else that’s got them really distracted. But they weren’t too distracted to send your wizard properly. 🙂 And a fine wizard he is, too!
September 2, 2007 at 4:29 am #612451Lovely wizard! He’s very distinguished. I’m glad he got to you alright! 😀
September 2, 2007 at 8:29 am #612452I agree. Positive with a low score on comms. Great wizard!! Congrats!
September 2, 2007 at 7:12 pm #612453I received three emails from rgrant 1741 this morning and one of them said “The item was boxed as you instructed and the additional charge $18. I understand you owe the $18 dollars per other emails. … I just discovered it was delivered. Thank you. Bob” (two of them said nothing) I don’t believe I would buy from him again. Also thanks frozendragon, Ski and Barrdwing for your suggestion I had forgotten about that new rating system that is a good idea.

… I don’t believe I would buy from him again. For someone to ship a Wizard that (I assume) does not have its original box, without it getting damaged, is, I would think, well worth an extra 10% of the total cost even in retrospect. I mean, you were expecting the shipping cost to be higher; the guy just doesn’t have great communication skills.
I have no idea who the seller is, but I’d consider this outcome to be a good one. I’d be MORE inclined to buy from him in the future, rather than less inclined.
