Happy Winter Solstice! Tonight is the longest night of the year – starting tomorrow the days will lengthen and we’ll start being able to see the sunrise before school starts. Tonight is for bonfires, toasting marshmellows and drinking hot chocolate or mulled cider – YUM!

I was thinking of that too–Winter Solstice! I just may make some hot chocolate and put marshmallows in it and find a fun movie to watch on TV tonight. Happy Winter’s Solstice! 😀

Happy Mid-Winter! Did anyone else watch the Lunar Eclipse last night?

It was “totally wicked!!” to quote me boyohs 😀 Seriously, we witnessed history – a full lunar eclipse that coinsided with winter solstice- won’t happen again for another 300 years… 😮

I caught a glimpse of it through the clouds. Stupid clouds, was clear 3 hours earlier! But it was still awesome, even though I had to wake up at 230am. I didn’t want to miss it!

Snerk–I watched Grumpy Old Men–it was on cable’s free movie list. I’ll be watching ‘The Christmas Story’ either tonight or tomorrow.

Watched it with my dad. It was soo cool. We were able to get some nice shots with Dad’s laptop priced camera.

It was cloudy here that day of eclipse . Can’t change the weather . I did see one years ago and it was beautiful . 4 Full moons in a row last year and each falling on the same day of the month . Rarity .
