Welcome to the Forum GD
February 15, 2007 at 6:23 am #539271Aww, Ski, I’m happy Man is not a jerk! 🙂 And see, now you appreciate his good deeds that much more because you were REALLY not expecting them!
and GB, that sounds really nice..a home-made V-Day dinner with decoratiosn and nice china. ^_^ My parents usually buy eachother cards and candy, and sometimes flowers, but this year we just exchanged cards.
My Kyle is not only NOT HERE, but he’s at “the field” or some sort of military training place, and he’s unable to contact me all week…so the last time I heard his lovely voice was…Sunday evening. I thought it might be cute to schedule a time and both go out to eat at the same time, so it would be LIKE we went out to dinner together, 800 miles apart…but not even that was possible.
I had to work, and tonight I have a metric ton of school work to finish.ALTHOUGH….
I saw a really cute thing this morning on “Good Morning America”…they interviewed these 7 or 8 little kids about Valentines day.
“Do you think hate is stronger than love?”
1-“NO WAY! Love is STRONGER than hate”
2-“Well hate is strong in a bad way, but love is strong in a GOOD way.”“Do you think we should only celebrate love on ONE special day out of the year?”
1-“No, every day we should love.”
2-“Yes” “You mean that out of the WHOLE YEAR….we should only celebrate love on one special day?” “YES, one SPECIAL DAY we should CELEBRATE, but we should love every day”“Do you think love ever gets old and tired”
the response I remember best is…
1-“No, love doesn’t get old and tired, but even if it did, there’s always new love being created in the world, so all the old love is always replaced by the new love”I wish I could remember more of the interview, it was SO cute…maybe I can find it on UTube
February 15, 2007 at 6:28 am #539272sounds very nice little kids are so candid
February 15, 2007 at 6:46 am #539273OMG!!!! 😯 This has been the best Valentines Day EVAR!! My finace went out yesterday and bought a Shabu Shabu set up (Shabu Shabu is a japanese style of food – there’s a pot of boiling water, a big plate of veggies, a plate of very thinly sliced raw meat (we like beef), rice and sauce. You dunk your veggies and swish your meat until they are cooked to your taste, dip them in the sauce and eat them with rice. (shabu shabu means “swish swish” I think – like what you do with your meat in the water) it’s really really tastey, very good for you and a nice leisurely meal that’s good with company.”) So we had shabu shabu at home for dinner tonight. He also sat and watched Onmyoji II with me (Onmyoji 1 and 2 are really good movies if you like Japanese fantasy, and the lead actor is in my opinion really really HOT even though he’s like 58 (he looks like he’s in his early 30s)) because he knew I wanted to see it, even though it wasn’t really his cup of tea. He also did all the dishes. AND……he just bought me a JADE SCRATCHER from BTweddingcreations on ebay…. 😯 I’ve done it. I’ve found the absolute perfect man. I’m the luckiest woman on earth….(and yes, he’s also stupendously fantastic in…the other areas that count in a good relationship)

-J R R TolkienFebruary 15, 2007 at 6:48 am #539274Wow, Arlla. Congrats, especially on that jade scratcher.
February 15, 2007 at 7:05 am #539275THanks!! 😯 I still can’t believe it…
I’m REALLY glad your sweetheart came through for you, Ski – sounds like he really made a good recovery! ^_^
I’m happy to hear that some if not all of the single folks can still enjoy “Black Wednesday” with their friends or at least their furry friends! ^_^ I didn’t mind V-day too much when I was single…my friend Lisa and I would go out and have a ton of fun.
Those kids sound really cute…I wonder how many they had to go through to get those especially cute ones! ;P

There’s a Williams-filled bar, Lindor, Cresta… Most of them are Lindt, 8 or 9 bars. I picked the best pieces from my current stash, but I really don’t remember what all went into that package! Sorry.
YAY! My day got a LOT better. The griffins came in!!!! So ya, the whole “You have to wait untill your Birthday” thing didn’t work…..I was like, “You have a choice….” “Give me the dam box!” ROFLMAO. Louis Absolutely loves them, especialy Cerberus. You really out did yourself GB! I got some pics, but am WAY too lazy to upload them to Photobucket tonight, but I will be sure to post them ASAP. Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH GB!!!
To the rest of you, I hope you all stayed out of trouble! LoL
Ski, glad things worked out for you!
Arlla, You have a good man, keep him =P if you need tips, let me know 😈
February 15, 2007 at 3:07 pm #539279I’m so glad you and Louis like the griffins, Nirvana. You just made a good day better. I know the griffs have a very good home with you.
February 15, 2007 at 3:53 pm #539280Let’s see, this has been more like Valentine’s Week. Blake had Monday off so he kept Kyle at home and they went to Build-A-Bear and found me a pink and purple teddy bear with a butterfly on its nose and its foot then they both kissed the heart and dressed her in PJs and bunny slippers (an ode to my always walking around in PJs and tiger slippers. Then they both gave it to me when I got home for work.
I took a half day off from work yesterday, went to the JCPenney lingerie department, did some shopping, got some good food, stopped at Starbucks and got Kyle and Blake a drink, delivered Blake’s coffee to him at work as a surprise, took Kyle to grandma’s, went home and cooked up a roast with carrots, potatos and onions, as well as a broccoli/cheese/rice casserole (Blake’s favorite), we went and bought some movies and ice cream, mad euse of the JCPenney purchase and then relaxed and played World of Warcraft :p
It was wonderful!!
Ski and Arlla, congrats on finding a great guy, those guys seem wonderful!
February 15, 2007 at 4:36 pm #539281My guy got me a Pirate of the Caribbean figure (Bootstrap Bill! It’s rare!) and a small box of Godiva chocolates (small cuz I’m dieting). It’s a miraculous breakthrough for him because he thinks all my collectables are only good for dust gathering, and he has NEVER contributed to them before! Ever. (Except for the shelving for them.)
So, soon I may be able to convince him to buy me Windstones…
February 15, 2007 at 5:08 pm #539282Aw, it sounds like everyone had a good day. My bf made me dinner and gave me a back rub and then we watched TV.
February 16, 2007 at 3:53 am #539283I got a Diamond Solataire!!!
I lurve it soooo much!! didn’t get flowers…or a card….or chocolates…but it’s ok…I’m gonna try and plant flowers later ^^
My mom also sent me chocolates and the Dragonology Frost dragon stuffed animal. He’s so cute…and really grumpy ^^-
We don’t have a date set or anything, we agreed that we would wait till we could afford it, as well as good jobs, and a place of our own…we’re still living with his parents right now XP
All in all, awesome Valentines
