Yeah, that’s about right……. It’s been snowing off and on all week too. But nothing’s staying. It’s snowing and disappearing!!! 😮
October 15, 2009 at 11:25 pm #785192Haha! No snow on Oahu. Dang… thats kinda sad. I just donated my snowboard to GoodWill last week. 🙁

I’ll ship you as much as you want Ski. I hate snow!! 🙄
October 16, 2009 at 12:46 am #785194We’re getting 5″ tonight. The trees aren’t even bare yet… we don’t usually get snow until next month. Augh! My heating bill is already going up higher than normal for October.

5 minutes later you couldn’t see out the window. That was on Saturday.
By Sunday you’d need all your fingers and toes in the family to count the cars in the ditch, the sidewalks, inside convenience store windows… you know… it comes every year, learn to drive (better yet, learn when NOT to drive), or move somewhere it doesn’t snow.
I personally didn’t touch my car yesterday. I’m not stupid. I know how to navigate ice and slush but I’ll end up getting hit by someone who doesn’t.
This is what we put up with here in Soda Springs – and yes, it had just started snowing when we took this pic in late July… 😮

October 16, 2009 at 5:19 am #785197HAhahaha! 😆 That would not be a place for me.
October 16, 2009 at 12:46 pm #785198Looks like paradise to me–July 4th! 😆
October 16, 2009 at 1:39 pm #785199This is what I woke up to this morning! We normally don’t get this for another month.
Which is a problem because the trees still have much of their autumn foliage and even a few inches of snow gathered across the leaves can add tons of weight to the tree and cause it to break. We’ve already lost power twice and we’re supposed to get more snow!Last week:
Today (note the poor sagging trees… all those limbs are supposed to be very much upright!):
You can still sort of see the pretty autumn colors underneath.
Awww my poor sunflowers and the rest of my garden is still trying to go!

October 16, 2009 at 4:08 pm #785201AnonymousIt is sad this year. The leaves didn’t even change color. They just got ripped and stripped by the wind.

Typical October. The question is .. will it dump in November.. or stay away until January.
October 17, 2009 at 12:25 am #785203Nothing up here in my neck of northern NY. No precipitation from this storm. Not even rain. I do have to drive to Cortland tomorrow from Oneonta, so I’ll run into something on the way there.

Until today, it was in the 90’s here. Today it dropped down to the upper 60’s/ low 70’s, supposed to be around 50 tonight. Everyone here is running around in their heavy jackets.
Early for that much snow though, isn’t it? When I’d moved up north (Maine), there might be a dusting in October, but I don’t remember a heavy snow until late November at the earliest- wasn’t there all that long though. Never even saw snow until I was 15. Now my daughter (10)fusses about wanting to see it sigh…October 19, 2009 at 3:20 am #785205Adraenyse wrote:Dragon87 wrote:Yeah, that’s about right…….
