September 30, 2009 at 6:53 pm #785167Yup! Snowflakes were blowing around in Northern NY last night (northwestern Adirondacks… not here.. I’m just south and east of them). I get to drive there in a few weeks though! Looks like it’s time for me to get some new tires. *sighs at poor wallet*
September 30, 2009 at 7:24 pm #785168Ick, ick, ick. I’m not ready!!! I only get maybe 4 months out of the year where it isn’t snowing. I want it to last!!
October 1, 2009 at 6:02 am #785169Argh, git away from me with the bad news! :spank:
I strongly hope that the snow doesn’t hit us as early as it did last year, in October. Before that our first snow always fell November 21st and generally didn’t hang around.
*please, please, please let it be a mild winter. It can rain all it wants, but send the snow and ice someplace else*October 1, 2009 at 8:50 am #785170Lucky. I miss the snow.
October 2, 2009 at 12:20 pm #785171What’s snow? 😕

I think the last time I saw snow was in the 2001/2002 timeframe. I was visiting my husband (before we were married) while he was home on leave from Germany. We woke up early to take him to the airport to discover a thin dusting of snow on the cars (in the Florida panhandle mind you!). His flight ended up being cancelled and instead of me getting to see him off for once, he got to see me off again (he always got to see me off). As I drove farther north and east to my home I drove into more and more snow (roads were clear though). I think home (East-Central Alabama) had close to 6 inches of snow on the ground when I got there.

Hi GB it’s great to hear from you again is everything going better for you?
October 2, 2009 at 5:33 pm #785174Reading this makes me realize how happy I am to live in a region that has 4 seasons. If it started to snow this early; I think I’d kill myself. They are going to have to change that from “cross country” to “cross country skiing” =P (I know, I know, lame)

That statement begs for words that should not be posted here…
I do like the 4 seasons, but snow should be confined to about, oh, a few weeks a year? Late December and January. No more. And I’m not in a heavy snow area, either!
