He almost made it to 23, but unforunately due to his quickly declining heath… my sister and I have made terrible the decision to put bring Bubbas to the vet tomorrow for the final time. 😥 It’s not exactly a happy thought, but he had a good life. Thank you all so much for all your support concerning him throughout the years with his numerous health scares. He’ll be a very missed kitty.

We had to do that with our Abbysolutelynotail kitty. Her hearing degenerated to the point that when me boyohs were tiny and just learning to scoot around, if they caught her off guard she reacted first and then felt horrible for hurting her “kittens”. She was a great mouser and vermin eliminator. The boyohs were outside on a blanket in the shade while I was doing yard work one day and Abby was making a hellacious noise! when I finally went to see what was up (stupid first time mum… 🙄 🙄 ) she had placed herself between the babies and one horrifically big rattlesnake and was doing her best to head it off away from the boys – talk about feeling like a stupid mum! Abby was our baby before we had human babies. It tooks us ten years to get pregnant once and only once. Abby was our God send and kept us sane through all the ups and downs of infertility. But there was one day that she looked at us and her expression said it all “I’ve done the work here I was supposed to do. Can I please go home now? It’s okay if you let me go.” I still bawl when I tell this story. She was/is my baby girl and I will never forget her!
p.s. Her name was Abbysolutelynotail because she was a manx and literally had no tail, but we called her Abby for short
