Hallmark Ornaments

Ha! Every year without fail my grandmother sends me a holiday Barbie christmas ornament…I think I have about 20 of them. I don’t think she knows that I never cared for them, some were just downright creepy, but I’ve kept them all anyway. It makes her happy, so I put them all on the tree and take pictures for her. It’s the least I can do since I haven’t seen her in about 7 years, she lives 23 hrs away.

My ty’s are all in the living room. They have comandeered our couch and are not inclined to move. 😆 I only have about 200 though so there’s still enough room on the couch for my cat to sleep…barely. 🙄

I have ALMOST EVERY Hallmark Barbie Ornament ever made all the way back to the very first one.
I have been thinking of selling them but keep getting all the ones that come out each year

I know it seems like a lot. The beanies don’t take up too much space, since most are only about 5 inches long. The budies do though. I guess when I find the charger for my camera I’m gonna have to take a picture.

Wow! Guess I’m gonna have to make a trip to my mom’s and get mine before the holidays so I can see which one’s I’ve got. They’re mixed in with her ornaments so it might take a while. I’m pretty sure that I have every christmas one dating back to ’90 though, a bride, one from ‘I Love Lucy’ (I think), and a fairy one.

I’ve seen the secondary market on the hallmark ornaments. I started collecting the Star Wars Minis back when they came out. I was doing good getting them each year and then I had a few years where I couldn’t get the ornament for one reason or another. I went looking for them and paid close to original price on ebay.

Lol, My husband has every single one of the Star Trek ornaments from Hallmark, EXCEPT the original 1991 ornament…which I can’t find for less than 180 bucks…I hunt constantly for it though, our tree has alot of trek on it. We also have the Frosty Friends ones, that’s our annual “couple” ornament. I have gotten my dad the entire Fire Truck line since it came out too. I also have alot of the Charming Tails (not hallmark) ornaments, those are harder to find.

I try to find one that has the year on it each year so they aren’t any special ones. I have a Disney and Hummel that date back to 1963 but I don’t think those are Hallmark – not sure who made them.

They’re going that well still? My mom has boxes of them, and we’re hurting and she doesn’t want them and wondered about selling them.

I just wanted to let you know that I got a Blue Jay ornament on Ebay, and then found one in my ornaments. D’oh! 🙄 So, if anyone wants to buy the extra one for what I paid for it on Ebay ($18?), I will sell it to you. Just PM me. 🙂 Thanks.

Both my Dad and I collect Star Trek ornaments, though he has a lot more than I do since I just started collecting them this year.
