Thank you so much for your comments and support. I do feel better now (odd, isn’t it!) that I got so much support from you all and that I feel validated that I’m now “in the club” of people who got scammed by this seller, at the same time, I wish this “club” didn’t have to exist. I have only been scammed once before and that was worse. Many people knew who the scammer was and tried to catch her, but we couldn’t, she was a forum member and I hadn’t paid through paypal, so I lost the $458+ I was out. She had lots of negative feedback, but all she had to do was wait a year and it all went away so she could start over with a new name and #.
I did leave negative feedback on this one, though. I will tell ebay about her and I hope with their sophisticated technology they can get her off of ebay even if she changes her ID. It’s hard enough to trust that what you pay for you will get. Most of the time my luck has been good and I have gotten really good sellers who live up to their promises and make good on mistakes. But ones like this deserve to be punished severely because it causes so much trouble!! It’s hard work to have to mistrust people, which is why the scammers get away with their schemes.
Anyway, I really appreciate the support and I thank you all!
Happy Holidays!!!November 28, 2009 at 1:52 am #794001This same thing happened to me about a year ago when I bought a jade scratching dragon from someone on the forum. They told me the item was mint and shipped it in a scratching dragon box with the plastic bag and the item came with a bunch of small chips and paint chips in it and nothing in the bag. I contacted the person and told them and they took absolutely no responsibility for the damage. They said it happened in shipping even though I told them there was absolutely no way that was possible since there was nothing in the bag and no damage to the box. They finally said they would give me about 20.00 back…which wasn’t much compared to how much i spent on the thing…and I waited and never got my refund… At least there is some way to get to dealers and ebay people if they don’t want to cooperate but it is even more frustrating when it happens over the forum and there is really nothing that can be done it seems. This was over a year ago and I am still steaming since I can’t sell the item for what I paid, return it or anything… I would like to say most people I deal with on the forum are very nice and honest, and I think this is really the only transaction I’ve felt went sour but its still irritating when there is nothing you can do.
Anyways just want to tell you, you have my sympathies drgnlver and I hope you can get it worked outNovember 28, 2009 at 4:38 pm #794002If the dealer is listed as an official Windstone Dealer, then yes, John probably wants to hear about your experiences.
Please send your experiences with this Dealer to John: john@windstoneeditions.comI think it’s fair to say that no one at Windstone wants you to feel scammed by an official dealer! Let’s work together and see what we can do here to make everyone happy. 🙂
