I know this question has nearly no purpose, but I was curious…I saw a pic of the mother grif on elfwood and she was unpainted, did you shorten the ears? They look a bit longer in the pic on elfwood. She was unfinished in the pic, I don’t actually have a momma grif yet (wanting a production one) so I don’t have a physical piece to compare the pic to.
She’s alot more “buff” in general compared to the one in the Elfwood Gallery

… did I shorten the ears… uh… I don’t remember. I did even them up a little, because they didn’t match, but I think I shortened the one on the backside. She wasn’t buffed up any! She was plenty big enough to start with. Her face does looks different on Elfwood. The sculpture was very rough then.

I just looked at the image on elfwood, and yes, it looks like I did shorten her ear on the near side. It curved up more.
