    I don’t remember seeing this mentioned anywhere…but

I think it took me forever to notice that both my sitting and crouching chicks have different gold necklaces. The sitter has the gold leafing(looks to be) while the Croucher has the deco pen type. Was there a reason for it?

And my Croucher only has three toes on his right back paw! Sculpting or painting mistake? o.O (I can provide pictures..)

    Anyone else notice these?

No! 😯 I can be so unobservant. I’ll check when I get home tonight!

Yea, I noticed the necklace thing right away. I asked about it in another thread, but it was never answered. Maybe that chick is the ‘odd’ child? 😆

Anyone else notice these? The sitting chick with the gold leafing is from the very first batch we did.. it took forever to do!
Thanks to Nambroth, we found some real gold pens that can apply the gold much smoother and cleaner. It is still real gold, but it is put on with a pen instead of the gold leaf.
The toe thing.. uh sculptng mistake. I often make the two middle toes run together as one form, because that is the way soft cat paws look to me.. I did that on the pyo griffin too. I guess I do it without realising it, because I’ve done it for so long..I don’t have a final casting of the crouching chick tolook at here, but the one I have only has a couple toes evident on each side.

The Karat is also different (I think you guys were using 23k leaf right?) and so the color may look different- 18k will be a paler, lighter color than 24k. 🙂

Leafing is a pain in the butt!! Not only is it thinner than imaginable, it tends to get stuck to areas where you don’t want it, doesn’t stick to areas that you do want it, and when you seal over it it looses a lot of lustre.
Also my cat steals pieces of it. She’s playing with some now…

Hmmm… try catnip, Nam. Your cat’s got real luxurious taste!

At least it’s only a small bit of aluminum leaf. I’d be breathing fire if she stole the 23k gold!

you should give her some tin foil before you work next time. that will distract her from the other stuff. 😆

Nah, she doesn’t like foil! Figures right? The kitten does though!
She only likes things that dance in the breeze, like a feather or a dustmote.. or leafing! 😆
