That helps to give balance if you don’t want the eye color alienated from the rest of the paint job.
I don’t really see that it is absolutely necessary to pick up the eye color in the paint job, as long as the colors complement each other. For example, there is no red whatsoever on the emeralds or the golds and they still look great with the red eyes.
However if you do like blue, there is no reason for you not to use it…
