Hello everyone,
Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I’ve actually wanted to own a Windstone Editions dragon since I was 15 years old (over 40 now). I came from a relatively poor family and that wasn’t a realistic possibility back then, but I’d always wanted one – especially because Melody’s dragons were some of the most lifelike sculptures I’d seen.
Over the years I periodically would see them in a store somewhere and think “Someday I will have one of those…” Circumstances were never quite right to follow through on that intention, and then over the years I acquired other commitments and priorities, and moved out of the country – so I didn’t end up seeing them around much anymore.
Recently a web search brought up some pictures of Melody’s work, and a short while later I was on the Windstone Editions website. After realizing that I was now in a position to follow through on that desire, I spent quite a few hours going through the website store – and a couple of days ago received my very first Windstone Editions piece – a limited Emperor Dragon in silver. He’s beautiful…
I’m currently making a list of other pieces on the site that I’d like to get as/if they become available again. I think a Mother Dragon in copper patina and a Curled Dragon in the old dark peacock are probably first on my list. I’m very glad to have found Melody’s artwork again, and pleased to see that there is an entire community built around it.
I’ll see you all on the forums…
Cheers,
–Vel
