I just got pictures of this guy – it looks like he’s got inches of dust caked onto him, which is probably why the color looks so bad in the photos!! Ugh… And his head looks pretty scuffed, with several chips, including a big chunk out of his horn. The small chips on his body don’t look bad at all, though.
With all the other goodies up right now, I wonder what it will sell for!

This is tough. I got an old green dragon with the ‘thick dust coating’ and let me tell you it was a chore to get him clean without damaging him, and even though my intensive care he still looks a little ‘grey’ in the crevices. After painting emperors I know that they have lots of deep areas to clean dust from and that’d be real work. Don’t get me wrong, if I had the money I’d still be after this emperor, but MAN what a chore to clean him properly if he looks how you’re describing him! 🙁

November 28, 2007 at 12:45 am #638613I know…I REALLY REALLY hope I can win him…my computer is a bit slow tho…So I’m usually ALWAYS the unlucky one who gtes off the computer empty handed. 🙁

November 28, 2007 at 1:12 am #638614I have to admit I’m watching him too. I adore the old greens and browns and although I don’t know how I’d afford him, I’d love to clean him up if he’s as dusty as the others say he is.
BTW Dragon Master, the asterisks appear automatically once the bid gets above a certain amount ($100, I think) in order to protect the ID of the bidder. It was something ebay started doing a little while back.
Good luck to all those watching!
