June 21, 2010 at 2:00 am #781558I really like both Summer Dusk and the Cuttlefish Keeper! Dusk has all the rich jewel tones I slobber over, beautifully combined and layered, while Cuttlefish is bright and bold. On Cuttlefish, I particularly like the way you accented the sweeping curves of the sculpt. And the way you set the metallics in on the big side scales makes them peep out past the brighter colors like jewels. You’re onto something great with both of these guys! 😀

June 26, 2010 at 1:34 am #781566heres the work i have done so far today. this time around the blending is a bit easier then on the keeper. after learning the hard way that pink is not a good base coat to start with i decided to start with yellow and go from there. with this piece i don’t feel like i am taking a blind shot with how i have been laying out the colors to, so it has been much more pleasant this time around 😀
