As a huge graphic novel fan I am dying to know when we might (if ever) get a peek at a page or two of this project?????. Your brillant critters have sparked my fasination and curiousity. ……squeeeeek……
AAAAHHHHGGGG
That is a cry of despair. Sorry. I am horribly frustrated because I don’t have a nano second to spare to work on this project. It is painful! (It took me two days to find time to respond to this question!!)
Snapdragon was going to set up a gallery for me to use with the domain name Reptangle.com. I plan to post the graphic novel, or at least parts of it, on that website. He hasn’t gotten around to this yet, which is fine, since I probably won’t have time to even use it, until next year.
I have been trying to get the little part that includes the Poads(tm) finished enough to be presentable, as a stand alone little story bit, but…. aaaaaaggggghhhhh.
This graphic novel isn’t really about Windstone sculptures, but many of the sculptures did grow out of the story somewhat, since the story has been with me since I was fifteen. The Flions, the dragons, winged wolves, a unicorn, of course the Poads(tm) are all characters. Hey, I was only fifteen when I started writing this! Of course these cliche’ things are in the story.
37 years ago, winged wolves and unicorns were not so common in stories. I thought I was being original.
I will try to post something or other, maybe just a pic or two in my gallery here.
Thank you so much for asking about it though! I really appreciate the fact that someone cares!
Oh, and what graphic novels do you love?? I love recommendations!not that I have time to read anything

I know we keep ourselves entertained…. π
December 5, 2007 at 9:20 pm #641813I love Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series, heck I love all his work. The other graphic novels I’ve collected are David Mack’s Kabuki series and James O’Barr’s Crow series. And of course, the classics, V for Vendetta (and yes, I got this wayyyy before the movie) and the Watchman.
December 5, 2007 at 10:18 pm #641814Melody posted a sample of her graphic novel in April (I think). Not sure which thread.

I did?
December 5, 2007 at 10:38 pm #641816I remember you talked about posting it a while ago, but if you did, I missed it. π
December 5, 2007 at 10:44 pm #641817I love Elfquest. It’s the only graphic novels I collect. And anything else that has come out of the Elfquest comics… different versions of the comics in print, CD’s, games, etc. I don’t collect the miniatures though. Just print stuff.
December 6, 2007 at 1:23 am #641818Aww Melody! I know how you feel. I have a story to tell too, but no time to do it in. Also, I don’t draw as well as you do (I’m okay at painting, but not so much at drawing, at least quickly enough to do a novel).
I am writing it out in normal, written novel form first. Someday maybe I can just heavily illustrate it…

December 6, 2007 at 9:08 am #641821You might be interested in talking to Andrew Bill…. somehow he managed to get four books made for his Enchantica series while still doing all those sculptures… π
I think you can contact him at his site : http://www.thedragonsite.com
I can’t even see how he accomplished it with everything else was doing at the time… π―

We’d be happy to start it up again, though.
