I forgot to take pictures of him while he was all in bits, but his back legs were in about 7 large pieces before I got him put back together enough to stand for these pictures, sorry flash with a white Windstone kinda hid where his breaks are, but I tried. Here’s what I started with.
His owner sent me pics of what we started with. So here ya go.

One leg repaired

Now, guess which one was broken.

April 9, 2012 at 12:36 am #877992Thanks, Mary Jane. Not really, just been doing this for a long time. Forgot how much I enjoyed restoring these guys. I hope to be back in the game over the summer & I will post up pictures as I begin repairing things once more.

Do you have any tips you’d be willing to share on your recipe for matching “Unicorn White”? I’ve had a bear of a time matching it.
June 26, 2012 at 8:06 pm #882409It’s mostly an off white, almost an eggshell color. Start with an ivory & lighten with straight white or darken as needed with a little burnt umber. Each unicorn color batch is slightly different so there is no set color mix, so you just have to try to match as best you can.

Thanks so much! I have a Baby Peg with a teeny ear chip that would be perfect to practice this recipe on. 🙂
