Just got back from the hospital.
He had an alergique reation to something and started to swell up. His skin was all red and itched. He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance but by then the redness started to ease and the swelling was almost gone.

it all started this morning. He wasn’t feeling well but then was better after his breakfast so I sent him to school. When he arrived from school he started being sick. By 7 PM he got something that seemed like hives and the redness was creeping up his neck face and then chest.

He’ll have to see an alergist 🙁

Aw… allergies suck, but at least he’s okay! *hugs to both of yous*

Glad to hear he is better! But you might want to ask his doctor for an epi-pen. My sister is allergic to bees and this summer got stung while we were at a zoo. Fortunately the hospital was only 5 minutes away and she got treated in time. I asked her why she didn’t have an epi-pen after her last reaction and she said the doctor mentioned but she forgot to get it. 🙄 But they are a great thing to have – especially if you don’t know for sure what could trigger a response.

Just what you didn’t need – more stress. Sending a mental margarita!

I’ll tell his doctor about it.
Margarita? Never had one….guess I’ll have to try one to know what delight you are sending my way 😆

So glad everything is fine! Like ddvm said–don’t need more stress coming your way! But what a scare nonetheless!

Eeek, that has to be scary. Hope you can figure out what caused it.

On a much lighter note with Margaritas, aim for one with real fruit and not too much syrup. There’s a huge difference between a good one and a bad one. *sends you a mental beach chair to sip it on*

Bleh! Allergies are a pain – they can start at any time, too. I hope you can quickly figure out what it was and avoid it from now on. Big hugs to you and Michel.

I just kept smacking Colin on the back of the head whenever he forgot his… and now he carries it everywhere! He even has it in winter now (because if you’re allergic to one thing, your chances of an allergic reaction to something else is much higher).

He’s also allergic to bees/wasps. Got bit by a wasp at Saskatoon Lake (20min outside of Grande Prairie) and didn’t know he was allergic. Broke out in hives and started having a respiratory response – since we had no cell reception, I booked it to the hospital in his car. I musta been going 160km/h down that highway… 😮

And yes, a good margarita is definitely a must have. The ones that are all syrup though… yick.

Oh wow, I’m so glad that he is alright! Keep us updated on what happens. I’m curious to know what affected him too.

Aw man, scary! I sure hope your son gets this figured out with a doc so he doesn’t have to go through that again!
                  Sending prayers your way ^_^
