You could count me in! I can’t afford $150, but I could afford something.
June 10, 2009 at 12:18 am #767601What was making me sad is that Jennifer has to sell some items that are precious to her 🙁 . Could it be done in a way that she gets to keep her pretties but we have another item up for the raffle? Just a thought and yeah, I do like the idea of a raffle. Could anyone come up with a desirable item for this raffle?
June 10, 2009 at 12:21 am #767602IDK… don’t know exactly how the raffles are put together. I have never done one. Do we go through the windstone staff?
June 10, 2009 at 1:10 am #767603I would guess going through Windstone staff would be the best if they want to do this. Jennifer will be checking this–leave it up to her and she can tell us who to contact.

June 10, 2009 at 1:53 am #767605You guys are really sweet! But, I’d feel bad if you did a raffle for me. I know other people are facing money woes too…!!

June 10, 2009 at 3:01 am #767607ok, raffles. Everyone needs to understand that raffles are considered gambling. It is illegal in some states. I can do 4 a year. I’ve done 1 and I have one in the works. Easy enough for me to do, but we need the raffle prize. I don’t believe Jen can donate anything because the raffle is for her per se and I don’t know what the laws are in her state. Also, we don’t know what Windstone’s take would be on this being Jen is an employee. It’s different if she wasn’t aware of what we were doing and it was a surprise. I need some help here, Idea’s anyone? 😕
and BTW, I’m not trying to be beeochy about this, but before you post anything like this on the forum, unless it’s a legit charity, please email or pm me first. We can do things as surprises and get away with them, but when someone knows about it, it causes lots of complications. 🙄 😉
June 10, 2009 at 4:21 am #767608Oh, 😳 sorry. Guess I need to learn to keep my mouth shut. 🙁
June 10, 2009 at 4:33 am #767609It’s ok, just ………..complicated. 😕 XD
June 10, 2009 at 7:26 pm #767610Jennifer-
Could you maybe do a limited run print series on a sketch you did? I know that making prints is not that difficult, and I would bet that if you drew a fund raising sketch of some sort that people here would buy one. That would be an additional way to get money into your household. It was just a thought.Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin

Sun Dragon Koi #3June 10, 2009 at 7:34 pm #767611Now there’s an idea, Good thinking. I would go for that. Wouldn’t step on any toes either.
June 10, 2009 at 7:41 pm #767612And I could come up with $35 or so for a print. It would be much easier than a larger dollar amount and then more people could help.

Sun Dragon Koi #3June 10, 2009 at 7:57 pm #767613Not only that, but she could do it like she did her book and only print up the amount that people bought. 🙂
It would have to be hand signed tho of course. 😉 XDWant me to send you a Sharpie finepoint pen, Jen? XD
June 10, 2009 at 9:13 pm #767614I think the print would be a good idea. Jen, a suggestion. Why don’t you pick a couple of prints and let people pick the one they want to buy. Just make sure you price it high enough to cover printing, shipping AND enough to save your forest. 😉
