Ah! She’s getting closer to being done, and looking to have a good time along the way! 😀 :D:D
August 14, 2008 at 12:44 am #632796Just to let you know, she just got here. Her traveling box got just a little wet. Right now we are styling her hair. On Saturday I’m going to take her to St. Jacobs and the Farmers Market. (I’d rather go on a Thursday but, I work tomorrow and I’ll probably end up working next Thursday as well.) Hope for sun! It’s been a little rainy around here this summer.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmAugust 14, 2008 at 11:15 am #632798The inside box is fine. It didn’t get that wet. The outer box though was soaked through. Everything that was in the outer box has dried out just fine so no damage done.
August 16, 2008 at 8:25 pm #632799Beautiful weather today, so we went to St. Jacobs. Then on the way home we stopped at Picards Peanuts. Sadly, I didn’t think we’d stop there so I never asked if the muse or it’s family were allergic to peanuts. The muse did pick up some things to take home while there anyways.
Here is the album with the pictures.

I might take the muse with me tomorrow, we’ll see….
August 19, 2008 at 12:24 pm #632800Well, for those that care, the muse will be heading home today.
August 19, 2008 at 12:48 pm #632801Yay!
Mah muse looks good.
Now that the silver poad’s going to a new home, the butternut one will be lonely and missing the muse for sure.
I can’t wait to see it in person!

August 19, 2008 at 1:06 pm #632803Hi little Muse!!! It’s good to see you!!! 😀
At one point, I think Melody wanted to paint part of it. I wonder if that’s still a possibility.

Once the muse is back home, I’ll see if there are missing spots. Melody did offer at one point, but with the move, I’m not sure if that’ll be possible.
As far as plans go, I don’t know. I didn’t think that far ahead!

August 19, 2008 at 8:01 pm #632806Nice photos, Romeodanny 🙂 I’ve never seen a broom making studio… interesting.
And I’m glad it’s finally going home! It must be exhausted! Maybe in the future when the factory is up and running again it can take a short trip to Oregon for some invisible rainbow paint? Either way, I think it looks great. Wonderful idea, dragonmedley. This has been my favorite thread 😀
August 20, 2008 at 12:14 am #632807Hurray! Very nice Muse pics! I agree. She has been traveling since before the holidays! 😯
August 20, 2008 at 1:22 am #632808I think all the areas are painted. The white in the pictures is pearl. The only area that needed paint was the hair, and the bottom of the feet. I painted the hair but, I painted over a bit of the beak frill. (Or whatever that is) Since it was almost white and I painted over the spot in red I left it. 😳 Let’s just say I got carried away…
She is on her way. I’d give the tracking # but, I can’t find the receipt now…. I’ll probably find it in the morning.
Hamel Brooms has been there for a long time. Hopefully, it’ll be there for years to come. Sadly there is a Walmart planned for St. Jacobs…. All I can say is I hope the small stores don’t suffer because of it.
August 21, 2008 at 12:27 am #632809And it’s home! It arrived in a Dark Zorse box… Was that box ever packed!
The muse jumped up and down, all excited, and showed me all its treasures.
Someone even got it a passport!
There it is, all proud and dolled up.
After it calmed down a little, I put on the stickers and managed to display everything together.
But now, the poad’s jealous and wants to go!
Anyway, I can’t thank everyone enough for the great paint job and the gifts. This was a great experience! The muse will be making one last trip in a few weeks to the Windstone factory for a special top coat. In the meantime, it will gloat and make the poad green with envy.
Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone!!!
