that’s what the lady at the post office said to me. I didn’t think it was right either, because I’m pretty sure I got tracking on something I’ve sent out of the country before? I don’t remember.
The number on the customs form is the tracking number.Customs forms do not provide tracking though. True, they have a number, but it cant be used to trace packages. Its not scanned when it goes thru the PO in any way.

That’s funny. It’s always worked for me to track it.
The Muse arrived in Calgary today to a shock after California, it snowed last night. Today she had a look at the snow, met the dog and had a nap, Travelling is hard! I’ll get pics up soon.
Emerald, Maybe the PO was just full of it when they told me that… or maybe they just wanted my extra $.65 so I would pay for tracking. The website does state that customs forms cant be used for tracking though. Maybe they will do it under certain circumstances??

Can’t honestly say USPS is the same but, the customs form for Canada Post has an item number. It’s used to track the package. If they actually scan it that is….. 🙄

Argh!!! Sorry life has been really busy for the last little bit. Sister had a baby girl, I was doing costumes for a show and brother got married. I’m taking a day of rest today and then I’ll start working tomorrow. 😉

I don’t think they were intentionally lying to you, unless my post office lady lied to me as well. I was unable to get tracking on a package going outside the continental US and she said the custom number only works for knowing whether the package went through customs or not, not for tracking. 😕 I guess I’ll have to check this customs number and see if it works like tracking.

I don’t think they were intentionally lying to you, unless my post office lady lied to me as well. I was unable to get tracking on a package going outside the continental US and she said the custom number only works for knowing whether the package went through customs or not, not for tracking. 😕 I guess I’ll have to check this customs number and see if it works like tracking.
