Lovely new sig, Silverdragon! π
July 11, 2008 at 3:15 am #721602I love the Glacier Pearl OW. I would love to see him with some green undertone and called Caribbean or something like that for water. (In case anyone hasn’t followed, green is my all time favorite, especially emerald tones)

Another interesting color to paint dragons I discovered, using the same painting method that I used on the glacier dragon, is to paint one fiery bright red, and then airbrush the top “highlights” with black, leaving the deep places and underside glowing bright red …it makes it look like the dragon is made of molten lava! Is that an element?

Could we see a pic of the dragon you painted this way? Sounds pretty cool! The only one I did was a little curlie one. He looked neat, but he is packed somewhere, in a box, in a crate, in a warehouse, in another state. I will try to remember to post a pic when I find him again (yeah, right), or when I paint another one.

Lava is from the Earth so it’s close enough for me and I LOVE red and black together
