Well it seems that a lack of communication has turned something small into a pretty big deal. I would like if everyone could withold judgement of The Crystal Fox until all is resolved. If you have ever been to the store it really is a nice store and although I don’t think I’ve ever met Sterling the lady that is always there has been nothing but nice to me. I will post pics when I get the griffin and I really hope Sterling does come back and become part of our family.

Well, I’ve been mulling over what to do about this all evening from my hotel room…
I don’t want to close or lock the topic (unless da boss says to) because I think there are some important things to think about here and some lessons to consider. 🙂
I definitely see and sympathize with both ‘sides’ on this issue- many of us have been in the shoes of both people. Not an idea situation by any stretch of the imagination!
I also don’t agree with the actions of a few, but I’m absolutely not here to pass judgement.
I think the main thing to remember is that even though we are all separated by many many miles and there’s a computer screen and about a million different wires separating us physically, there is always a real person sitting somewhere. And this is about as public as you can get! No medium other than the internet can reach so many people at such high speeds. Remember what you say here is not only public, but recorded as text. As a general rule of thumb you probably wouldn’t want to say something in public that you wouldn’t feel comfortable saying on your local evening news. I don’t think anyone said anything too out of line, but it’s a good thing to think about regardless!
As far as making threats, it’s impossible to fully understand the motives behind text on a screen. We know a joke when we see it, but an outsider may not. As much as I hate being politically correct as the next person, it’s always in bad taste to make threats, even as a joke. It only takes one person to take it seriously to cause a world of trouble! 🙁
I want to be clear, I’m not yelling at anyone and as always I’m really amazed at the maturity and sense of family this group has. You should all be proud for this- look elsewhere on the internet and I know you’ll find that things can get really ugly, really quickly! 😉
The only point I want to make, is that you should always sit back and think before you type (I know this is harder than it seems when something really gets your goat!!), and this can go double for a business. For an individual it may not be as essential to have a sound reputation, but as a business often your reputation precedes you and may make not only a blemish on your personality, but your very livelihood.
It looks like you guys have really taken care of the situation yourselves. I hope that everything is resolved and all is well! 🙂
Please carry on and be good to one another! All are welcome, just mind we are a lively and passionate group! 🙂 🙂 It is far better to have great heart in the things that you love!

I should note that since they do seem willing to fix things up, and purpledoggy is satisfied (so long as she does in fact get her griffin, anyhow!) that I’ve taken them off the “little list.”
Misunderstandings are really annoying, but they’re not really a reason to avoid doing business with somebody after all. Especially not when they seem quite willing to fix things up.
(Though I still wonder why on earth they came and posted here and then ran off again!)
I removed two of my posts because I feel I didn’t read Sterlings post correctly. I took it as something it wasn’t ment to be. (looks down in shame)

sigh. what has come most strongly come from this whole experience is that i should post less frequently here. i really need to focus on writing my proposal and stop letting myself get distracted by things that can upset me.

I miss all the good stuff 🙄 I didnt see anything wrong with the store posting an apology on here. I thought it was kind of cool of them. Esp after such poor customer service. I hope they make it right, but I think if it happened to me, I would be right there with you and not shop there again. You didnt even mention the name, so you were incredibly nice about it. I hope it all works out. I know I missed a few edited posts, but I took the knocking over stuff as a joke, too. 😉
