I tried searching for my answer, but I couldn’t find it, so I have decided to go to the gueen herself! π Ok, do all of the PYO sculpts use the same sized gemstones? If not, what sizes (SS) are used in the PYO unicorn and muse?
Also, what cut of Swarovski should be used for the PYO’s? Thank you! π
June 1, 2008 at 5:03 am #709768Just dug out my art bin to look, I use the SS09 for the Muse π I haven’t ever done a unicorn though so I am interested to find out what size she takes! I got my muse stones here…

The website says to not glue them as it could cause damage to the foil backing, so what do you do to attach them Eleu?
June 1, 2008 at 6:14 pm #709770I actually do glue them in with plain old Elmers, I used Superglue the first two times but it did not go well π³ I’ve done 4 muse and the glue hasn’t been a problem on any…maybe someone else will know more π
June 1, 2008 at 7:16 pm #709771I dunno about those foil-backed crystals, but I do use Elmer’s, as well. I’ve only tried it on these little round-cut semi-precious stones I bought off ebay, though. =) I doubt the glue would hurt the foil, though. They probably meant something more…what’s the word…volatile? like super-glue…than Elmer’s. I mean, geez. Kids eat that stuff. XD

We use 24ss 24pp 19pp and a couple other sizes too. The sizes are confusing because the smaller jewels are measured in “pp” which stands for “pearl point”, and the larger ones are designated “ss” which stands for… I don’t know what…but they are two different close sizes and they have can be the same number.
The backing of the Swarovski jewels doesn’t seem to come off if you use white glue on them, far as we can tell.June 10, 2008 at 7:36 pm #709773Melody wrote:eaglefeather831 wrote:I tried searching for my answer, but I couldn’t find it, so I have decided to go to the gueen herself! π Ok, do all of the PYO sculpts use the same sized gemstones?
