Hey, has someone been approving the user’s uploads to the gallery? I haven’t touched it in forever, because each time I go to check if anything needs approved they have already gone though. It seems as if perhaps it’s on ‘auto-approve’ without a staff member doing it?

I don’t mind of course if there is a reason, but it’s seemed like this every since the forum migration, and I wonder if it was just an ‘oops’ sort of thing that got overlooked in the migration.

It was kinda a safety net– I had a whole slew of uploads, for example, of someone’s random photos that had nothing to do with Windstone (like… photos of their other collectibles and such!). If uploads need mod approval we can avoid that sort of thing.

        Just curious!!

No idea and Chessie says she hasn’t done any. And I’m sure Amber hasn’t either. Do we ask Shaun about it?

Amber hasn’t. I guess we ask Shaun! I looked but I don’t think that is something I personally can turn on/off.

Actually, you have full admin rights to the gallery, and you can mess with the config, I would just rather you didn’t to avoid these kinds of issues. What happened here is some changes were made to the user groups by Nexco, and they bridge across to the gallery, where it didn’t recognize them. I’ve re-synced the groups and registered members are once again subject to approval. Anyone who can read this message should be able to still upload images without approval.

The “bridge” the gallery uses is a little touch and go and is not as flexible with permissions as the forum is.
