December 18, 2007 at 1:29 am #648017Poor little dog, humiliated already!
He’s cute though. Tell her to train him to allow his toenails to be trimmed now…mess with his feet, pretend to clip nails and actually do it when needed, about every two weeks.
Pugs are miserable about it later, but if she trains him now, he should be good about it for life. We used to have to actually tranquilize one pug because he would stress out so badly he’d actually stop breathing…silly dog.
So to save her the headache later, I thought I would mention it now, while he’s young.

December 18, 2007 at 1:37 am #648018Once I took one of my Pugs to have her nails trimmed at the vets. They took her in the back and you never heard so much screaming in your life. Everyone in the lobby thought the Vet was torturing some poor dog!! Boy, was I embarrassed. 😳

Once when I was picking up one of my cats at the vet, I heard this cat screaming. It made me so upset, I started to hyperventilate and I had to go outside. Turns out they were trimming a kitten’s nails. 😳 😆 All my thoughts of being a vet tech went right out the window!

I will show her your post. She bought a pug puppy a few months ago and unknown to her, he was ill. He died quite suddenly from some genetic heart condition that put him in congestive heart failure.
It really shook her up and then she bought this little guy from a different breeder and the poor thing had kennel cough.
Fortunately he is good now and pretty spoiled.
December 18, 2007 at 4:12 am #648021Oh god that pug is adorable. Pugs are my very favorite dogs, and I have wanted one for as long as I can remember- a black one like that one too. As soon as I get an apartment that allows dogs I’m getting one.

December 18, 2007 at 6:17 am #648023LOL, foxfeather. 😆 Cute costume on that puppy, though.
December 18, 2007 at 6:49 pm #648024My former neighbors had 5 pugs and my chow loved them and let them climb all over him when they came down to my house or he went to visit them. They moved to NC two years ago and Tristen still goes over by their fence when I am walking him I think he still misses them. They were the beige color with black markings.
December 18, 2007 at 7:01 pm #648025LOL! The outfit doesnt fit the expression! He’s all dolled up and cute, but his posture says to whomever is behind the camera, “Im sooooo going to get you back for this as soon as you put down that flash box!”
