She needs a set of wings for the fairy festival next year. I’ll have to hit you up for a pair before it comes around. I’m not sure what size she will need by then though.

Need to be careful about the results on the blood test for it as it can and often does come back with a false negative. There is a very small time window to find the anti-bodies before your body starts masking them and they don’t show up in the bloodwork. I really hope for Danny’s sake that it isn’t Lyme’s, because I have flares of it every year at the time of year that it was its worst (now, for instance). The stroke diagnosis is likely because it can imitate one; that’s what my docs thought at first. I’m glad they started him on antibiotics without waiting for a positive diagnosis… they literally clear it up over night. Hang in there. Hugs and prayers for you, Danny and Alyssa. And I’m really glad you had fun at Ren-Faire. Oh, and when Alyssa out grows her fairy wings, let me know and I’ll make her some new ones; it’s one of the things I do in costuming π

Can I see some of your wings?

Im not imbaressed of it , hell Stalone has made a career out of his lopsided face maybe its my time to shine ..so long as too much drink doesnt fall out of my mouth
October 6, 2008 at 1:16 am #735037Well, jeez! I’m glad you guys had some fun before all that, it never ends for you guys huh? Blessings for a speedy recovery, and ROFL at Necron’s excuse to be rude, too funny!! you guys looked great too, and Alyssa is adorable in her costume, I adore her socks!!!! Be WELL!!
October 6, 2008 at 1:57 am #735038Well nice that you had fun at the fair, and….
GROWL at Hopkins… that hospital seems to lackluster, with the wait times up here you’d have gotten in faster. π
(of course, the only time I was in an ER waiting room for less then three hours was when I was diagnosed with diabetes… they noticed I was starting to pass out so they moved me through pretty quick, pretty quick being what, 1/2 an hour and I started passing out about 15mins in so not horrid)
October 6, 2008 at 4:32 am #735039My friend Dan had Bell’s Palsy in college. Lasted a few months, but eventually went away. They never found a cause. It just happened, but it did go away. My dog had a palsy on his face too. His went away after about 1-2 months. Dan took about 4 -5 months.
Yeah, watch out on the false negatives on Lyme. It can be a weird one when it comes to test. Lots of false positives, and a lot of people don’t test correctly when they do have it. To add insult to injury, many people who are bit by a deer tick never get the stereotypical ‘bullseye’ bite. Some never see a bite at all (as many as 40%). A friend of mine has Lyme (she is from CT). She’s had it for years. Her problems with it come and go. For those who get it and it isn’t diagnosed early, really can be in for issues years later (though certainly not all). Good luck either way!
Btw, on a faire note, do you see a woman who plays with a ball there (goes by the name Lady Trinket?). She is marrying an acquaintence, and fraternity brother, from college (Dave) π

October 6, 2008 at 12:27 pm #735041Hope he gets to feeling better. A word about hospitals. In this Country, U.S., there is a serious shortage of Doctors and nurse’s. And they predict that it’s only gonna get worse since fewer people are willing to go through the training to become a RN, or Doctor. As a result the current staff of doctors and nurses are over worked, working double shifts on occasion, and pulled way to thin to handle the demand. Especially in ER’s. I only say this to express the need to all to look for quallified hopitals in your area. I know we have to travel an hour for a good hospital, even with 4 within 20 to 30 minutes of where we live. This is also why we see increasing reports of medical debris left in human bodies. “Hey thats where that scaple went”. Health care in the U.S. has become a scary thing.

there are a ton of nurses and docs at Johns Hopkins , but they are all kids who want to spend their time watching UTube with little or no supervision fro the top its just falling apart, i guess they get the feeling of being untouchable since they have such a good name but it wont be long till that fails with people like me who post their discontent over their lack paitent care
October 6, 2008 at 4:08 pm #735043Is it a college hospital? One that gets the majority of its docs and rn’s from the local college.

Its Johns Hopkins number 1 hospital in the country , It is a teaching hospital but thats no excuse these are supposed to be people dedicated to medicine not screwing around. If they dont have enough Docs that have time in to supervise they should just shut down the ER ..there are more of them in the city , there is one just a few blocks away
I just spoke to my TX doc and she was pissed. She is going to the dean of medicine again to tell him of the lack luster proformance of the staff because of the complaints of so many TX patients she has
October 6, 2008 at 4:42 pm #73504512 HOURS? and it’s #1 in the country?
Wow! That’s even worse than when I had to sit for 3 with my boyfriend, and he had a scheduled appointment. On top of that his doctor spent the first 15 minutes on his phone! ugh! Then they wonder why people hate going to hospitals.
I hope Danny’s doing ok. I know how tough it can be waiting when a loved one gets sick. Best wishes on a full recovery.PS:Where was the ren fair? I’d love to take my 6yr old cousin to one, he’d love it. You guys looked awesome!

π I’ll have to see if I can dig out some pix… I’ve given away all the completed ones and just have pieces to put together at the moment π π Ethan and Sean hate it when I make wings… to quote them “Mommmmmmm! I can’t go to school with pink ‘twinkles’ all over me!!! Why do you hafta use that really fine stuff that gets all static-y and sticks to everything?!?!? Just put it all away!!!!” The cats, however, love to walk through and roll in my glitter, don’t ask me why… (it sure makes the litter box interesting π )
