I think I’m the one who should be apologizing here. I had no idea that there was such a big problem with the e-bay auctions and I responded too hastily to everyone’s understandable feelings of frusration. If I could take back everything I said, I would. Please forgive me!
No reason to apologize we just need to welcome you into the famly and make you spend TONS more money on Windstones!!!

I don’t know if we ever stopped in Greensburg, but we (husband and I, and my family) have been all over that area… from the Pittsburgh area north pretty much! I’m just on the other side of the PA border, in NY. I can see PA from my front porch. 🙂
I myself would prefer an ocean view, but as far as views go, I guess seeing PA from your front porch is not to bad. At least it’s not New Jersey! LOL
My apologies to anyone who lives in New Jersey, I am only joking!!!!
I lived there for about 2 years but we moved back to CA when I was 4 so I do not remember much except at the time 35 years ago we did not have fences so we would go into the back yard and say well you see that tree that is about the porperty line. I also remember SNOW and getting my finger slammed in the car door onceJanuary 5, 2008 at 2:59 am #644310newfie07 wrote:I myself would prefer an ocean view, but as far as views go, I guess seeing PA from your front porch is not to bad. Not me! I love the woods and foothills of the Appalachians. It’s beautiful!
Parts of NJ aren’t too bad… depends on what part of the state you’re in. 😉

Hey, I was born and raised in Pittsburgh! I actually lived most of my life in Bethel Park and Greentree. Now I’m in Atlanta, GA. I wish I could move back home. I’m so tired of the traffic and how crowded everything is. Plus… Pittsburgh will just always be home for me.
So… you pulling for the Steelers tomorrow? 😀

I’ve driven Atlanta a few times while driving to FL for vacation, but never took the time to stop. Maybe next time we’ll spend a day to look around. Traffic here on the Parkway (appropriately named!) hasn’t changed so you’re not missing much in that area! I am rooting for the Steelers and as long as the offensive line picks it up a bit, we might have a shot!

If you don’t remember Camden, you aren’t missing anything. 😆
January 5, 2008 at 9:29 pm #644316I just moved from Atlanta. I couldn’t stand it there!! Yuck. (No offense to those that live there… just not my cup of tea!)

I used to drive that Parkway to and from work every day. I thought the traffic was bad on it. But it ain’t nothing compared to what I have to deal with now down here. This sucks big time! I’m with Jennifer in that this place is not my cup of tea.
I do enjoy the weather a lot more down here though. That’s about the only plus for me.

I remember the lay out of the house and that we had no fences. I even renmember a dream I had where a big Eagle flew into the house and picked me up and flew me thur the entire house thur the walls and dropped me back in my own bed after the flight it was STRANGE. I also remember having my finger slammed in the car door once. I think I mentioned that once beforeMaybe I need to move to Palm Springs. I LOVE the heat
January 5, 2008 at 11:29 pm #644319Some of my older pieces are a bit dusty (an understatement) and I was hoping to get some suggestions on the best way to clean them up without damaging them (the reason they are in the state they’re in). I was not able to find any info doing a search so any help would be appreciated.

It’s been a while since cleaning methods has been discussed. Good methods include using canned air to spray off dust, using a soft-bristled paintbrush/makeup brush to brush dust off and/or carefully running the windstone under the faucet avoiding getting the pad on the bottom wet (not recommended for Ruby dragons).
